From bottle at SlovakSniper & Rodenbach99 Iceland super tasting, merci beaucoup Yan, Yan et Pat! Amber pour, white head. Nice caramel/toffee aroma, light peppery english hops. Taste is slightly peppery, lots of sticky sweet toffee flavors. OK palate, kind of brought down by a kind of weird alcohol aftertaste. OK.

Geiserich (3469) - Linz, AUSTRIA - AUG 30, 2010
Bottle: Reddish amber color, creamy off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma with lots of cascade hops. Also fuity malty and light sweet notes. Flavor is malty, hints of caramel, light sweetness and a good amount of fruity, lemonlike and medium bitter hops. Medium bitter, dry and hoppy end. Long finish. An amazing surprise from Iceland.

Bottled at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Pours out in hazy reddish amber colour with a rich white foam. Rich and well-rounded caramel aroma with notes of dried apricots, vanilla cookies and fudge. Medium-bodied with notes of fudge, caramel, vanilla and noble grassy hops. Long medium-bitter finish of toffee, nuts, grass and cookies.

(Sample at rodenbach99 Iceland beer festival) Amber in color with a nice and solid cap. Hops are well hidden behind biscuity and caramel malts. Flavors as some dry malts and nuts along with faint hops. Medium to light body. Soft carbonation. Nice oily texture. Dry malty aftertaste. Many thanks to Yan for bringing back this bottle from Iceland.

Amber with poor head. Smells sweet of malts, spices, and a touch of bread and coffee. Taste is very similiar, body is light to medium. Some floral fruityness from the hops, but not enough bitterness to balance out the sweetness.

Tap @Flying Scotsman. Hazy copper color. Hops, bready, caramel in aroma. Slick, sugary, caramel, malts in flavor. Not bad, but messy.
