2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Orangey, large tight head. Simple belgian ale aroma, a bit like a leffe, something on the grungy side of the genre, but without the quite as much sweetness as leffe. Taste similar, quite grungy, a bit of iron and liver, a little sweet. Full palate, pleasant carbonation. Finish a bit metallic and dirty. Not a saison by any stretch of the imagination. Belgian yeast definititey dominating, but this is just a dirty leffe, which is different from a saison. Does vaguely covery the alcohol.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
High carbonation, big white head, amber color. Aroma is of light citrus, mild spice and fruits. Texture is slightly oily and aftertaste is quite crisp with pronounced alcoholic bitterness. Taste is bittersweet, but the bitterness is more from alcohol than hops. Carbonation increases mouthfeel. Too much caramel.
