Pours a hazy Auburn color with a huge frothy tan color head. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast phenols, pepper, fruity esthers, sweet berries and some spiciness from the rye. Taste is Belgian farmhouse funk, spicy rye malts, sweet berries, pepper, phenolic cloves and sweet fruitiness on the end before finishing dry and with a balanced farmhouse funk. Excellent bold bodied saison that’s complex and balanced.

Bottle. It pours a finger-thick creamy off-white head over an almost clear, dark golden body. The aroma is quite fruity-sweet, with some spiced, peppery notes and yeast hints. Phenolic hints of smoke. It’s medium to full-bodied, with quite a lot of carbonation. Semi-dry. Pale malts, some alcohol notes, a spiced touch and a fine bitterness in the flavor, lasting for a good while. Interesting more than good, but sure drinkable. 141025

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2014) - Golden in colour. Lemon, yeast and spice in the aroma. Tangy taste with notes of lemon, coriander and yoghurt. I am not familiar enough with angelica to have been able to detect it much in this beer but I am sure it’s there.
