A very interesting Lager. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried. Shared with Northopfrye. Aromas of fresh cut wheat - also some sweetness on the palate reminiscent of honey. I would definitely make this a regular in my fridge.

500ml bottle. It pours a deep gold with a fizzy white head. The smell is malty. There is a hint of citrus and pine. The flavor is nice and malty, a tiny bit of hops on the back end. It really reminds me of a good helles lager mixed with a steam beer. Pretty decent stuff.

(33 cl bottle from Laundromat Café, Nørrebro) Pours a pale, clear golden with a decent, white head and a good retention. Aroma is metallic, dusty and grainy but improves over time. Oily on the palate, full-bodied, medium carbonation with a bitter finish. Taste is starchy lager. How worldly to be drinking an Ölvisholt in Copenhagen on an ordinary Wednesday with Einar Már Guðmundsson reciting his works just next door. Girlfriend says: "It’s very metallic."

bottle shared with northropfrye. looks pretty enough in a glass with a modest head. not much aroma. an easy-drinking beer that does not have much flavour, but is still pleasant enough to drink.

Smakar som en tämligen ordinär lager med allt vad det innebär. Ser också ut som en sådan. Däremot har den djupare och finare dofter än vad jag är van vid, där blommor och gräs framstår klart.

En imperial pilsner (enligt RB) som var maltig och söt i doft och smak, kanske en liten aning wellpapp, men helt ok som en torstsläckare.

Bottle bought in Reykjavik in March 2011. Clear light copper with a small white head. Aroma and taste of malt, biscuit, some grain, honey and citrus. A descent Premium Lager.

Bottle. Definitely better than your average lager. Very fresh spicy aroma. Colour is golden yellow with a nice white head. Taste is moderate bitter hops followed by a bready finish. All lagers should be like this and they wouldn’t have such a bad reputation.
