Sweet malt and vegetal macro aroma. Light sweet malt flavor, that vanishes quickly. Iím not sure this isnít Pabst in a different can.

What can I say, its classic mostly I just get this for garage beer and drinking games after the craft beers are gone. But hey, it tastes decent for an American commercial lager, costs little and keeps the party goin.

For a yard/garage lager does a fine job. Look, smell, taste and mouth feel all simple at best. Price point best feature.

This beer is what you think of when you think of beer. The odor is one of yeast, and itís pale as water. I rated it halfway because, for what it is, itís not bad. $2 for a can at a local restaurant, and while itís nothing fancy, the taste is decent, itís smooth, and not overly carbonated. Donít try to find any of the fancy hop aromas, or the special colors, etc. You canít really pick on it because its a basic, smooth, dry beer. No more, no less.

Can sampled at 1up in Denver with Andrew during a friendly game of ski-ball. This is one of those cheap, old man pale lagers that, despite its blandness and lack of flavor, is still unoffensive and drinkable.

Pale golden golden color with a white head. A decent malt aroma, some mild bread, a bit of grass, and some yeast. A mild ester note, some sweet corn, and apple esters. Thereís a nice malty sweetness, some mild metal, and a bit of corn. Mild grassiness, a bit of floral hops, and some yeast and esters.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Olympia beer has a thick, white head, a clear, bubbly, straw appearance, and a nice amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of sweet malt, grain, and a slight hop sting (stereotypical American-style lager). The flavor is likewise typical for American-style lager: sweet, mild malt, grain (corn), a kiss of the hops, and water. In other words, just "that beer taste". Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Olympia finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. Overall, I find it to be a good, pleasant beer. RJT

Can out of a $1 random beer machine at a bar. Not bad for a macro beer. Drinkable.

Portland, Or - Johnís Market Place - 16 oz can. Medium gold appearance, soft snow white head that leaves a trace of lacing. Aroma has a trace of corn, some popcorn and trace of fresh lake water. Flavor is sweet with a hint of honey, some grainy notes and a bit of mineral water. Good mouthfeel for an
industrial lager. Pleasantly surprised.
