COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re thrilled to announce that Drop Kick Ale was the gold medal winner at the 2010 Lallemand "Brain of Brewers" competition in Denver Colorado in the Amber Ale category. This concoction bears the best of an American brown ale and an English stye bitter to tickle your taste buds pint after pint.

otakuden (1490) - Vero Beach, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Appearance: pours with a plum and rhubarb head – bubbly and dense with lace fractures. Deep ruby and mahogany hues.
Nose: grape pomace and rhubarb. Leather and wine soaked barrels – old and well-used. Bark and cardboard lurks in the back.
Palate: thin and bland – a far cry from its relatively tempting nose. Hint of rhubarb and plum along the sides. Stale chocolate powder in the middle. Pervasive presence of bark and cardboard.
Final Thoughts: a borderline drain pour, I ended up not dumping the remaining contents down the drain but I sure as heck didn’t enjoy it either. Stale, bland, confused. The only thing worthy of a drop kick is this beer right into the stratosphere to never be seen from again.

poured an orange tinted brown, with a fairly large light brown head. Aroma of nuts, caramel, vanilla and apples, A bit strange, but ok. Flavor was solid for the style; blend of nuts, caramel and chocolate. Slight bitter finish. Average for the style

12oz bottle. Deep amber pour with a slight off-white head. Aromas of caramel, earth, and the odd butter aroma this breweries beer have. Flavor of toffee and caramel malt with a slight hop bite.
