Gregis (884), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Apr 19, 2008 Pours a pale yellow with lots of "floaties" dancing amongst the rapidly rising bubbles and a loose, fizzy, white head that actually hangs around a bit. I’ve never seen another lager with sediment floating in it. The aroma is a muted, dusty blend of light, sour citrus, herbs and faint bread dough. Light, effervescent and quite tart, it finishes drier than any other pale lager that I’ve ever sampled. The flavor is more of the tart, sour, citrus and a light plastic note in the background. I have to believe that this bottle is infected, because it tastes more like a light Berliner weiss (minus the wiess) than a pale lager. If so, I think it may actually be benefiting from the affliction (based upon the other reviews on this page). These guys apparently have some serious bottling issues. I’ve tried 4 of their bottled beers and 3 of them have shown signs of infection. Justin_Bennett (67), junction city, Kansas, USA Mar 24, 2008 bottle. poured a pale yellow color. has the hint of hops. very very smooth taste with little to no after taste. great beer. topherh (250), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jan 23, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a clear gold with a quickly disappating white head. Odd aroma that I can quite pin down. Metallic ? Flavor is sharp on the tongue with a really funky aftertaste. Not a real pleasant experience. natedoggkc (163), Lenexa, Kansas, USA Dec 30, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours very light straw wiith a domestic head. The aroma was very distinct in a not so good way. My sister-in-law said that it tastes like water that had shrimp boiled in it. This was one of the worst beers that I have ever had and definately would not buy again. It’s too bad it was in a mix pack because the other two beers were pretty decent. zombywoof (293), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Dec 30, 2007 This beer has an odd vegetal quality to it. One poster describe a bell pepper quality but I’d don’t think that’s it. Earth and spice- I’d probably like this better except for that odd aftertaste. Otherwise it’s OK for a pale lager.
