3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Pours cloudy/murky amber/brown with a medium offwhite head. Smells of straw, grass with a hoppy piney citrus overtone. Flavors are of pine, spruce and citrus rind. Palate is medium with a lively astringent finish of pine and hoppy bitterness. There are much better IPAs out there, but there are many that are worse.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a nice citrus hop. Flavor is ok with again a nice hop rounded out with a earthy malt backbone. A decent and cheap beer. Also this is the best beer by this brewer by far.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Dark amber to light copper colored in the glass with a light khaki long lasting head. An musty leather tobacco pouch smell along with a little bit of orange peels. A strong orange peel resin flavor up front is backed by some notes of leather. The finish is ashtray with a little bit of wood. It starts nice, but finishes weak. Overall an ok beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is musty and earthy, grainy malts with a medium caramel sweetness. Floral citrus and grass with some toasted biscuit. Flavor is similar. Lots of musty earth and grainy, sweet caramels. Some lemon-grass and florals become a bit more distinct along with a minerally, toasted biscuit. Finishes with a good amount of earthy bitterness and a slight resin that leaves a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body, smooth, and a light carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. Lots of hops and fairly well balanced. A bit minerally at times and there are some things that could use work, but this was enjoyable enough.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle purchased at Royal in Kansas City, Missouri - poured into my Free State Willebecher. Pour is slight hazed orange yellow with a big three inch off white head. Head is lasting, falls with nice full lacing. Aroma is faint mineral earthiness, a very faint touch of floral citrus hop behind that. Really faint nose. Taste is lemon and orange citrus up front, dusty earth mineral in the middle, and closing out with a general metallic dirtiness. As it opens, taste is more mineral and clean, improves quite a bit. There is a decent amount of biscuit malt balancing everything together. Aftertaste is dirt. Palate is medium bodied, lower than normal carbonation, some evident alcohol heat and the dirt aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy apricot to honey color. Aroma of grass, pine, lavender and lemon. Taste is bitter. Flavor is grass, resin and floral hops with a sweet malt balance. I’ve tasted beers from Weston Brewing before and have not been impressed. I really believe they put some thought into this one. A step in the right direction. I would very much like to try this at the brewery. I have heard the beer is better at the brewery as opposed to bottled. Well done. I would like to see more like this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Weston has above average beers but nothing to blow you away. That’s why I was a little afraid to get this one. But I love IPA’s so I gave it a try, and I’m glad I did. Poured a hazy orange color with a nice two finger white head. Aroma was grass, citrus and pine. Flavor was lemony, resin, and some citrus. Aftertaste was bitter. Hops and more hops. Medium body. A great beer from what I think is an average brewery. But I’d get this one again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep golden color with a slight haze, a medium head, and not much lace to speak of. Plenty of breadiness in the aroma, like fresh baguette more so than I think I’ve ever noticed in the aroma of a beer, there are some earthy and fruity hops but generally this beer isn’t terribly pungent, just smells like a baguette. Flavor is plenty more breadiness, this beer isn’t sweet by a long shot and there isn’t much fruit to make you think it might be. There are plenty of earthy bitter hops that actually work well alongside a mineral character that usually annoys me but seems very pleasant in this beer. This all seems pretty well balanced and while I don’t love this beer I do like it enough.
