O’Malley’s Stout has been in the works for almost two years. It was originally called Prototype Stout as we worked on the recipe. With the help of our patrons and friends we have developed this dry Irish Stout. Specifically brewed for fun nights in the Irish Pub.

This stout pours black with a quickly-dissolving head. It has a great roasted flavor, with, for me, just the right balance between sweet and bitter. But it’s way too thin. I want that same balance, but with more sweetness and more bitterness and a rounder mouthfeel..

Good black pour w/ a tan head that leaves a ring of lacing. The aroma is of nice roasted notes that really draw you in. The taste is only slightly roasty, somewhat dry, but more watery than anything. I was hoping for more from the flavor!

Bottle. Pours black with a creamy brow head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice combination of roasted malts, sweet dark grains and a hint of dryness. Flavor is much more dry with a good amount of roasted malts but still has just a touch of sweetness from the dark grains.

Tasting notes from 6/21 Joplin Macadoodles Beerfest: Another Weston beer that actually didn’t suck. Color me shocked. Maybe this brewery is finally learning how to properly make beer these days. Anyway, this is a decent, roasty stout.

A black beer with a small beige head. The aroma is roasted nuts and cocoa. The flavor is roasted malt, a little smoky and very light.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2013 Had this on tap. The head had a nice tan appearance. Dry and barely sweet in flavor. The notes of chocolate and nutty taste was decent. The body was not as full as I would have liked and it was kinda watery. Overall I liked it. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Bottle @ Greg’s picked up in the Midwest. Pours a black appearance with a thin light brown head. Coffee, earthy, vanilla, a touch smoky aroma. Mild anise, a bit nutty, caramel, dark chocolate flavor. Not bad.

The appearance of this beer fuses a black color with a small and rapidly fading tan head, and the aroma fills your nose so nicely with its strong currents of vanilla, chocolate, and roasted and caramel malts. The taste mildly umami, mildly sweet, and slightly sour, and the palate combines a full body, thin texture, long finish, and a soft carbonation, which is very drinkable and pleasant medley on the tongue.

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Pours opaque brown/black with good light-brown head. Head all but diminishes; laces ok. Nice toasted malty smell with hints of caramel and dark chocolate. Flavor carries through but not as strong as it smells. Not very sweet flavor - has a bit of a burnt charcoal flavor. Finishes slightly bitter and acidic. Body is watery for such a dark brew with light carbonation and slight alcoholic feel. It’s good, but there are much better stouts out there.
