COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
O’Malley’s Stout has been in the works for almost two years. It was originally called Prototype Stout as we worked on the recipe. With the help of our patrons and friends we have developed this dry Irish Stout. Specifically brewed for fun nights in the Irish Pub.

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Pours opaque brown/black with good light-brown head. Head all but diminishes; laces ok. Nice toasted malty smell with hints of caramel and dark chocolate. Flavor carries through but not as strong as it smells. Not very sweet flavor - has a bit of a burnt charcoal flavor. Finishes slightly bitter and acidic. Body is watery for such a dark brew with light carbonation and slight alcoholic feel. It’s good, but there are much better stouts out there.

Under the name O’Malleys Prototype Stout. Bomber. Very dark brown with a hint of purple when held to the light. Small bubbled tan head. Toasted and roasted malt abound, but just a hint of green earthy malt beneath. Light sweetness, with mild roasted malt and hints of molasses and mocha. A dark chocolate to roasted malt bitterness in the finish and linger. Just a stout. 1/11

Can. Thanks gregwilsonstl. Deep brown pour with a small head. Nose isn’t particularly appealing. Harsh roasted coffee bean. Curdled milk. Flavor is sort of harsh. Acidic roast. Thin. Some chocolate. Red fruit skin. Strong carb. Light body. Needs work.

I didn’t care for this stout at all... and I wanted to. Being here in Columbia, Missouri really made me anxious to try a six pack of this brew and I was anxious to be able to say that my favorite stout was made right here in the Ozarks. It isn’t horrible, but I won’t be going back for another six pack.

Drank from can. Very thick tan head. Effervescent. Very dark brown, almost black. Kinda weird tasting. Extract taste. Subtle root beer. Kinda tastes like something between root beer and cola. That isn’t a compliment. I poured out 75% of this.....just wasn’t feeling it.

Very good dry stout. Black in color, roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Very drinkable.

Can. Black with one finger head. Roasty stout with a good amount of coffee. Just a tad thin, but pretty decent.

Good black pour w/ a tan head that leaves a ring of lacing. The aroma is of nice roasted notes that really draw you in. The taste is only slightly roasty, somewhat dry, but more watery than anything. I was hoping for more from the flavor!

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Bottle. Pours black with a creamy brow head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice combination of roasted malts, sweet dark grains and a hint of dryness. Flavor is much more dry with a good amount of roasted malts but still has just a touch of sweetness from the dark grains.

Tasting notes from 6/21 Joplin Macadoodles Beerfest: Another Weston beer that actually didn’t suck. Color me shocked. Maybe this brewery is finally learning how to properly make beer these days. Anyway, this is a decent, roasty stout.

A black beer with a small beige head. The aroma is roasted nuts and cocoa. The flavor is roasted malt, a little smoky and very light.
