2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap, pours a translucent brown with no head. Very little aroma, and not too strong on flavors. Notes of brown sugar and caramel malt, otherwise rather bland. Not bad, but nothing to rush out and try.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I like dunkel, but not a huge fan of this one. Good enough to drink, just not good enough to savor.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in Charlotte. Brown with a slight off-white head that dissipated pretty quickly. Sweet taste - some caramel came through in particular. Easy drinking and by no means bad, but pretty unremarkable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very refreshing for a "winter warmer" no really alcohol warming power in this one, which can be a good thing if you are planning on drinking for a long session. In the aroma I get the breweries house smell, with pilsner and munich malt, with subtle toasted notes. I would like a touch more malt in this one, or maybe a higher finishing gravity. This beer is very comparable to Warsteiner Dunkel in my opinion. Overall this is a very good beer to drink with no extreme flavors, a nicely balanced German Dunkel. Prost!
