Meh....bought this bottle because I had never heard of it. Even before I started reading about it I could tell it was gluten free. Sorry for those of you who have to drink this. To be honest, this was actually a lot better than most of the beers in this category. Aroma was very weak. Could pick out some sort of ginger ale aroma. That’s it. Pour was a nice enough cloudy medium gold with a white ring for a head. Taste was drinkable. Thick and almost oily, caramel is the main flavor here. Not much of a hop profile. Nice carbonation.

(35 cl bottle from local supermarket; BBD: November 30th 2013; Label says "For sale in Oregon only. Lucky you!") Pours a semi-clear amber with one-finger white, fluffy head. Decent retention and good lace. Aroma is mostly resiny and caramely. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body and a sweet finish. Definitely the best gluten-free beer I’ve ever tasted.

Nice golden color, just small head. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, a tough of caramel. Lightly bitter. Some pine, citrus, floral tastes, along with a toasted malt. Finish has an unusual taste, slightly metallic., but not unpleasant. Very drinkable. Looking forward to trying their IPA.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity dry hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Bottle, 33 cl. Clear golden with a decent white head. Fruity hoppy and smooth caramely nose. Flavor is toasted and caramel medium sweet malty with notes of red berries, grapefruity hops, citrus. Medium bitter finish. High drinkabillity. If I had problems with gluten, I’d drink this one on a hot summers day.

Backlog US, 12oz bottle from ABC drinks somewhere in FL. 22/09/12. Crystal malty, almost lager-like pale ale, easy drinking but a bit bland, Cascade remains more of an airy perfume than an aroma or taste. Drinkable enough on the road...

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Orangish amber in color with a thick, frothy, light-tan head. Aroma is pretty beige, just crystal malt and candied orange in a not-so-harmonious union. Flavor is actually, ya know, unterrible. Sure, it tastes like carbonated wort but that’s not so bad. Sweet candied citrus hops round it out a bit, but this is just pure malt sugar. Carbonation is pleasantly airy. Weird beer, not even close to a pale ale, but surprisingly drinkable.

Pours rich amber color with white, quickly diminishing, head. Really no lacing to speak of. Aromas are muted but clean. Pine, caramel, and floral notes primarily. Taste is much of the same with a little bit of a watery feel to it. Finish is dry with noticeable yeasty esters.

I’m not sue, but this is probably my favorite Gluten Free beer. That’s note really saying much, most gluten free beers are pretty dire. This seems like a pretty typical American Pale, with a good mix of caramel, citrus, and pine in both the aroma and flavor. Not bad.
