Tasting at Matt’s
Clean golden color. The aroma is a bit puckery, the flavor is malty, sweet, a bit too much cereal but not as much as bad gluten-free beers, a bit astringent, and decently bitter.
Not too bad for what it is.

330mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is quite stale, with lots of earthiness and stale grains. Flavour is earthy, grainy and super dry. Stale and overly dry graininess like many gluten free beers. Not disastrous, but not good.

Pretty Salty. I feel bad about giving a rating like this because I don’t need to be gluten free but PBR is gluten free and pretty good, sooo

Gluten free pale ale. Floral aroma. Lacy white head. Not a lot of flavor, possibly the age of the bottle at restaurant - January 2015 - one year three months. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle at Church Street Saloon. Amberish with off white head. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, grapefruit and resin. Taste is medium sweet, toasted malt, some hop notes and a medium bitter finish. Decent for a gluten free

Drinkable but oddly sweet. Grass, honey, some brown sugar, but cloying at the end. Hops give bite but can’t save the weak body.

Slightly skunked aroma of dandelion and lesser honey. Slightly hazy amber, medium head, little retention. Evenly balanced honey and lilly, good intensity. Medium body, easy carbonation. I have to say this a wonderful beer for what it is. It’s flavorful, well balanced, and delicious. I would buy this again, even though I have no dietary restrictions against gluten.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/26/2015. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-medium pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly drying on the finish from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good gluten reduced pale ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, grapefruit, resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Not much of a backbone and fairly blah flavor. But if I had to drink gluten-free beer, I’d drink this.

hoppy sweet and malty aroma. flavors are pretty recessed and brew is a bit watery. this keeps the body somewhat moderate and there is a bit of caramel. mostly some piney citrus hop. kind of a citrus seltzer thing up front. but it is beery.
