This is a decent pale ale. For people that are gluten-free, they need to be drinking this and the Omission Lager, because they taste like real beer.

Pours hazy amber with a small tan head... Scent is very faint..a little bread.. Taste is grainy, almost an NA body....and flavour. But...somehow it works...Caramel, grains....some hop bitter... Easy drinking and soft.... Pretty good, really.

Thanksgiving Day started with turkey at around 1pm, gorged for a little bit and Got to drink, well sip cause it sucked, a single beer. Then the toasts, deserts, clean up, and a little time with the future in-laws. Now, I am hungry again, its too early to go to sleep. So, I need a beer and this is the best we got here. Nice enough label, cool cap, it took me a little while to notice this is a Widmer product. Poured into a large water glass that is akin to a goblet. Pour has a small, fast fading head. Color is dark orange, beer has medium clarity. Aroma is thick slightly sweet malt with a bulky citrus hops. Comes off as you generic brew pub pale ale. Too much malt, like it to be cleaner, hops are just not as crispy and more muddled than I want them to be. Flavor is the same, hops become a bit indistinct and non-centered malts play a large role. You know what I did not get? I would have no idea that this is a gluten free beer, got to give it points for that.

355mL thx to Xanny. Pours clear orange. Yellowish dense head. Spotty lace. Nose is dusty, sticky, soft. Taste is dry, saw dusty, salty, some toffee. Palate is slightly vegetal and orange peel bitter, mealy, powdery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A deep amber to copper colored brew with a thin light khaki head. The nose has some musk and wood. There is also some toffee. The taste is a fairly dry woody character. There is also some note of the musk and wood. A nice dry pale ale style brew that only lacks a little bit of the caramel flavor of a regular pale ale. This is easily the best gluten free beer I have tried.

I would never have guessed it was gluten free. By far, the best one I’ve tried. It has a more red ale quality with a nice malt, caramel base, and a very well balanced hop presence.
