3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
So I was cleaning out the garage on this beautiful Easter weekend when my son brought me this beer from my hallowed beer fridge as a surprise work-break. I mention this detail because it was already in the glass when it was given to me and I had no idea that I was tucking into a gluten free beer. And it is a compliment to Widmer brothers that until I examined the bottle long after, I did not know I had been given a gluten free product. As a pale ale, it satisfies quite nicely, with a decent hop bitterness and caramel malts. But as a gluten-free offering, this really is outstanding!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It has a nice looking amber colored pour with great clarity and a small but long-lasting head. The aroma is sweet, lightly malted, and vaguely fruity like pear or apple. Creamy body. The taste has a malty sweetness and mildly bitter. Nicely done.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pour clear orange. Nose of dank hop and malt. Taste of peppery hop and malt sweetness. Malt presence a little overpowering for an ipa.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a spotted lacing small white frothy head. Aroma is quite mild with caramel, toasted malt, pine, citrus, flowery an bread. Taste is light+ sweet and bitter. Body is light+, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Finishes mild with caramel and a little bread. Low on hops for an APA, but quite drinkable anyway.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured clear, sunsetty orange with a short-lived white head.. just a dusting stuck around. The aroma picked up sweet oranges and floral notes over honey and light biscuity notes.. the hops stood out and were nice. The flavor found honey, sorghum, and a little rice at the core, with fresh grapefruit and light pine bitterness around.. nondescript residual bitterness stuck on the otherwise slick finish. Light-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. not the best flow to it.. aiight overall.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a rusty orange color with a small dissipating head. Nose is light citrus. Taste is rather flat and boring, with mild citrus and some caramel. Finish is short , expected something better from Widmer. Omit this one . quaff score 4 / 10

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Hoppy citrus and spice with a malty caramel sweetness. Pale clear copper with a thin head. Bit of up front bitterness from the hops and malts continues. Very light body, almost too light considering the flavor. If I hadn’t known this was a gluten free, I would say average APA which makes it a great gluten free.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear copper-amber with a sudsy off-white head. Mild aroma of caramel, citrus, and bread. Taste is very light on the malty side, so the slight bitterness seems a bit stronger. Light-medium bodied and kind of thin. Not great, but for gluten-free, this is one of the better options.
