Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a light beige head. Aroma seems lightly floral with a touch of citrus. Getting something that’s more hint of cola than malt. About medium body. Flavor is nicely hoppy. Finishes pretty dry and nicely bitter. As in most gluten frees there is something missing that’s needed to carry the hop. That said, this may be the best American gluten free I’ve ever had. It doesn’t stand near Greens Endeavor. The problem with gluten free is that light flavor won’t cut it. Wonder how a gluten free IS would turn out? EDIT: Guess it does stand near Endeavor. Gave them the same ratings. Still think the more flavor the better tasting the gluten free.

Bottle. Copper color with suspended floaties, thin head. Powerful hop aroma, medium body, bitter taste and finish. Decent pale ale with flavor.

Nice light caramel coloured body with an orange glow and a thin, one centimetre tall light tan head. Aroma of light hops with some citrus and herbal notes very noticeable with a little malt smell and a touch of alcohol and cardboard. Light-bodied; Sharp herbal and lightly earthy hop notes show up front with a good malt backbone (somehow without glutens) behind and a bitterness showing well from the hops. Aftertaste is nice with the bitterness very noticeable, a touch of alcohol, but the good news is that you don’t really miss the malt or glutens. Overall, a rather surprisingly good and true-to-style beer considering what it could be without the full malt notes. If you have celiac disease, this one is definitely one worth trying and enjoying all the time - otherwise, it’s not a bad choice to sample if you like APAs. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 24-October-2012 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 02-November-2012.

A deep amber to copper colored brew with a thin light khaki head. The nose has some musk and wood. There is also some toffee. The taste is a fairly dry woody character. There is also some note of the musk and wood. A nice dry pale ale style brew that only lacks a little bit of the caramel flavor of a regular pale ale. This is easily the best gluten free beer I have tried.

Hazy orange red color with thin white lacing. Citrus and slight earthy hop aroma. Clean palate with some fresh hop notes. Thinner palate with nice citrus appeal. For a de-glutenized beer I can really stand behind this pale ale. It might lack a little body but with no grain basis this is understandable. If I was unable to consume delicious bread I would certainly be able to turn my palate onto this ale.

Clear golden pour, not the greatest looking. Strong piney hop scent. Odd taste, haven’t had anything quite like it before, kind of like a sweet IPA, mild on both counts, with a weird aftertaste I can’t quite place. Is that from the absence of gluten? I have no idea. I’m craving a bagel.

Pours a light amber with a big frothy head. Aromas of malty caramel, piney hops, and slight toffee. Flavors of light pine hops, light caramel, and just a hint of hay/grain. Lightly sweet and mildly bitter. Leaves just a light corn/grain/bitter aftertaste.

RB Odense Official February tasting. Golden with a small white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with a touch of biscuit-y malt. Dry and hoppy flavour with citrus and pine on a somewhat thin malt backbone

Tarnished orange pour with small white head ring and lots of small floaties. Caramel, biscuit, clean citrus and some foresty bitterness for balance. Very surprisingly NOT bad. I would not have guessed this was gluten free. Scores extra points for the fact that this a BEER that just happens to be a gluten-free beverage, instead of the other way around.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It has a nice looking amber colored pour with great clarity and a small but long-lasting head. The aroma is sweet, lightly malted, and vaguely fruity like pear or apple. Creamy body. The taste has a malty sweetness and mildly bitter. Nicely done.
