A deep amber to copper colored brew with a thin light khaki head. The nose has some musk and wood. There is also some toffee. The taste is a fairly dry woody character. There is also some note of the musk and wood. A nice dry pale ale style brew that only lacks a little bit of the caramel flavor of a regular pale ale. This is easily the best gluten free beer I have tried.

Pours a perfect tea hue into the glass, with a fine, steady eggshell head that leaves window-wash lacing. Biscuits, caramel and a hint of citrus to the nose. Flavors of cereal and Cascade hops leave the mouthfeel a bit hollow, with a twinge of citrus every now and again. Hop-forward, yes, but missing some of the malt profile that balances out a top-tier APA. I will give this some credit, though. After doing mulch work in the hot sun on a summer afternoon, this lively-palated jigger is definitely a thirst quencher. Without being too heavy, it never crosses over to being a thin, watery brew. So there’s kudos to that, for sure.

Pours butterscotch amber. A fairly strong yeasty aroma. Taste first impression was that I was drinking a nice craft lager, not an APA. Nice slightly sweet grain profile, with slightest hint of hops. Nice creamy texture. As a APA it misses the mark. As a craft lager, its not bad. Also, oddly, nowhere on the bottle does it say gluten free.

12Fl OZ ($4 bottle) had this at TGI Fridays bith my meal. not a bad beer but nothing special. I’ve seen this brand around and have passed till now and I will most likely continue to pass. if they are going to make it in the beer game they will need to seriously step it up.

Pours cloudy pale amber with one fingers of light tan head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, spotty lacing. (3/5) Nose is muted pine resin, citrus, caramel malt, floral. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate to low carbonation, off-dry finish. (3/5) Well, it’s not terrible - which is actually fairly high praise for a gluten-free. Flavours are a little dull, and it doesn’t warm all that well - there’s a little something that just isn’t working for me on the nose, that’s becoming more noticeable as it warms. Drinkable, though. (12/20)

Orange colour, white head, aroma of figs, orange, mandarin and caramel. Taste is light bitter, light sweet. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.

14th May 2015: 12oz bottle into a La Chouffe badged stemmed tulip. Hazy amber pour, full, deep, white blanket of foam for a head. Hop lead in both the aroma and taste, bitter, yet balanced with a malt base which steadies the brew nicely. Decent stuff, gluten-free or not this is a very drinkable beer.

Bottle. Golden, low offwhite head. Light fruity yeast notes, a bit flowery hops and light grassy hops, Kölsch-like. Medium light body, light spicy note in the finish. Fresh and pleasant.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Hazy dark amberish in color. Nose is biscuit and breadiness. A tad of hops, maybe. Bready and light hops dominate the flavor. Fairly bland and boring. I guess it’s pretty good for a gluten free beer, as most of them are horrible.

Draft sample at Cherry Blossom Beer & Wine fest a week ago, cloudy amber color with white head. Aroma notes of grainy malt sweetness and light citrus/pine hops. Taste adds light caramel, somewhat herbal and more grain. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with minimal bitter finish. Pretty malty APA, I think I prefer gluten.
