3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured on tap into tulip. Pours a slightly hazy ruby brown with a reddish tan head. Aroma is sweet malty goodness, with hints of chocolate and dark stone fruit underneath. Taste is malty, bready, hint of dark malt bitterness, then a touch of yeast and esters at the finish. Darn delicious.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This really is the perfect example of a belgian style Dubbel Ale. The aroma is all yeasty goodness. One of the most beautiful hues of amber I've seen in a beer. This is one of my standbys...

Deeply caramel flan and a sweet roasted sweetbread backing. Cannot go wrong with this beer, compare with other doubles side by side, youíll see. Pair with a taco...really.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep amber orange with brown hues. Nose of caramel-covered cherry and prune. Flavor is semi-sweet caramel and dark fruits with a trail of toasted, almost roasted malt. Lingering toast and fruit. A touch sweeter than I would have liked.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
look: 4.5 smell: 4 taste: 4 feel: 4 overall: 4
Pours a cloudy neutral brown. Thick beige head that lasts a long time and leaves thick, fine lace on the glass.
An undercurrent of slightly soured cherry in the aroma. Light cream. A strong maltiness without the typical Belgian yeast aroma.
Strong alcohol warmth with a deep (dry) malt flavor. A rich brew, but the carbonation provides adequate balance. Big flavor that lasts through the aftertaste.
If you like this style, youíll likely love this beer.

Bottled. Pours hazy, deep amber with an average sized, lacing, beige head. Aroma of toasted caramel, yeast, brown sugar and nutty notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry with bitter notes. Medium bodied, oily text and soft carb. An excellent dubbel.
