Deep mahogany red, with nice head. Aroma of raisins and malt, with some yeast. Creamy body, flavors of raisins, currants, plums present, along with some toffee notes. Really shines as it hits room temperature. Much like Chimay Rouge in my opinion.

25.4 oz. corked bottle. Deep, dark red with large white head that disappeared rather quickly. A complex mix of fruity and sweet esters and flavors such as vanilla, caramel, and raisins. Alcohol is present but in just the right amount, not overwhelming, warms you slightly. Excellent beer and even better value at $3.99 for the bottle. I'll find this beer in the strangest of places and get it every time.

Dark burgundy with a very short-lived fizzy tan head. The aroma is very sweet at first, caramel and chocolate, then some toffee. The flavor is a nice caramel and toffe combo. There is some dark fruit action going on also, plums maybe. The finish is dry and lively. The body is medium full. I really like this beer. I started drinking this stuff eons ago and have just now gotten around to rating it. I think that I enjoy it more now than I used to. Yum.

Beautiful ale. Deep russet brown with some red. Aroma is very sweet--dried cherries with yeast. Nice malt profile with anise elements. Finishes tart in the back of my throat. Seems like it would be even better cellared.

A great Belgian ale. Sweet and rich without being excessively fruity. Nice thick head with a honey like arouma. Definantly a must try.

Burgandy with a large diminshing cocoa head. Little more roasted flavor than the fruitiness I associate with a belgian, but overall a really solid American take on a Belgian.

Dark burgundy liquid pours rather thick. The creamy head lives forever. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Full, fizzy and dry palette. Well balanced, dried fruit (prunes, apricots) and caramel body. After taste is heavily dried fruit and warm alcohol. Exceptional Belgian strong.

Pours a chocolaty brown that's quite cloudy. *Huge* head that lasts quite a while only to leave itself clinging to the glass in a nice lace.
Smells of apples and cherries, quite nice additions to the malt.
Tastes very fruity without being too sweet, which bodes well since I'm getting tired of sweet beers lately. There's some hops hanging in there as well. I'm getting the distinct sensation of a Granny Smith apple: sweet yet tart. The alcohol is quite noticable leaving behind an almost gin-like taste.
Mouthfeel is quite good: smooth and creamy. It doesn't seem that carbonated, but if you hold it in your mouth for longer than a few short seconds, you're gonna have some suds flowing somewhere.
Drinkability is good for a Belgian style; I find most to be too sweet. This one could go a few rounds.
