Ale brewed with Spices: Coriander, Cardamon, Mace, Grains of Paradise, Sweet Orange Peel. Adoration is a traditional winter ale, brewed in the Belgian manner, but with the twist of unusual spicing. Sip it on a winter eve sitting before a fire. Youíll understand why we couldnít name it anything else.

2015/02/08 - Pours a hazy amber/orange colour with a thin, khaki head that quickly dissipates. No lacing. Aroma is caramel, green apple, spices, orange, dark fruits and a hint of sweet booze. Taste is caramel, green apple, raisins, spices, mild metallic notes and sweet booze. Mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and a sweet , mildly warming finish. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Even-toned river brown, with a cm of tan head. Aroma is light creamsicle citrus, with notes of apple and tootsie roll. Taste is like that, but unexpectedly rich, with spicing that hides just on the other side of identifiability. Sweet up front, but finishes dry. Quite nice. $3/12oz

For me, this is a miss. Itís not lush as a beverage (itís more dense and steely in texture); itís not florid & open in its aromas (most flavor comes from sourness and bitterness on the tongue), and the flavors are confused and unpleasant - - tree bark, aluminum, and dusty spice rack. Itís lean, metallic, and close to astringent.

12oz bottle. Poured a cloudy dark amber color with a huge off-white head, settles quickly, but remains a solid small white head. Aroma was dark fruits, some green apple notes. Boozy notes. Caramel, sweetness. Lots of boozy dark fruit notes.

I love this as a seasonal ale, but there are definitely Strong Ales I like more. That being said, the spicy character of this brew will definitely appeal to you if, like me, you enjoy spicy teas without honey.

Ommegang Adoration has a thin-to-medium cream-colored head, very little lacing, a murky, rust-orange appearance, and lots of tan chunks floating about. The aroma is of assorted spices, spiced bread or cake, dark fruits, such as raisin, and low bitterness. Sweetness and alcohol abound. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Ommegang Adoration finishes semi-wet and somewhat boozy. RJT

Pours amber to brown with fine, lacy head. Not overpowering in odor but pleasant, with stone fruit and malt predominating. Velvety moth feel. Sweet and rich taste. This is like a mild Quad. Very pleasant beer. Hides the hefty alcohol content well.
