3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2015 Orange-amber with a heavy haze, a yellowish head with a slight pink twinge, creamy and moderate-fast rate of decay. Aroma is tart strawberry, hint of bubble gum, old grasses/hops, some mixed berry, a bit cloying and also cheesy tart lactic, old butter popcorn, hint of sewage... Bottled June 2011, Drink by Summer 2014 (so half a year after the drink-by date.) Body is medium-light somewhat syrup, touch of grittiness, moderate carbonation, moderate coarseness, pervasive, medium-light burn. Flavor is strawberry jam, light funky grass with a hint of old dry cheese and the slightest hint of rotting trash. Overall, a very interesting, complex combination of fruit and considerable, complex funk. Unfortunately, there’s just a bit much of cloying yuck underneath. It’s not wholly delicious.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled on 6/10/11. Pours a murky brown with rose tint. Minimal off-white head. Ultra fruity nose – apples, pears, plums, cherries, raisins, and some spice. Slightly sour taste which was relatively unexpected based on the smell. The tartness was reminiscent of cranberries or possibly raspberries. Some yeast and funkiness on the back end. Sharp mouthfeel. Overall, great surprise and a nice change of pace.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Topped by a fine, rosy salmon-colored head that’s extremely dense, it’s really interesting in appearance. Underneath that rose-colored head is a solid ruby-colored body that resembles some sort of exotic juice. It smells almost like a cider, fruity and champagne-like. It’s very fruity. It’s very fruity in the mouth as well, with bold raspberry dominating the flavor as well as aroma. After further intake of the beer it’s apparent that the pear content is giving the beer its cider-like qualities. The strong fruity, alcoholic flavor reminds me of a light-bodied fruity cough syrup or strong lambic. It definitely lives up to its name.
This is probably the most chicky beer I’ve ever tasted. It’s very smooth, light bodied, refreshing, and entertaining on the palate. Lots of fun delicious flavors dance on the tongue. The more you drink the less it tastes like cough syrup. Overall, it’s a very nice beer. It’s definitely not something most people are used to drinking, and it’s a little too fruity to drink in large quantities. This beer should be set aside for special, fruity occasions. Very well done!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 6-14-2012 (Corked and caged bottle) The appearance is a large fizzy pinkish head with a short retention, hazy reddish body, slow rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is raspberries, tart, suggestion of sourness, sweet, and brett. The flavor is raspberries, tart, sweet, brett, and has a dry finish. The mouthfeel bubbly and this beer is light-medium bodied. The flavor seems a bit disjointed and it is a bit too tart tasting for my liking.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Transfer review from BA reviewed on 2-8-12 -
Had on tap and served in tulip shaped glass
Appearance – A deep ruby red color with some haziness. A light head was present upon serving which faded giving a small amount of lacing.
Smell – The fruit aroma is really potent for this brew. Strong aromas of raspberries and cherry are at the start, souring as the aroma advances; giving a smell of citrusy lemon. At the very end a bit of booziness mixes in with the sour; finishing off the aroma.
Taste – The fruit that is present in the aroma is the first to be detected. Sweet flavors of raspberry and dried fruits meet the tongue. The maltier-bready backbone of the beer then starts to develop and maximizes in the middle of the taste profile. The sweet and maltiness slowly gives way to a much drier flavor profile toward the end. As the brew warmed it’s dryness intensified at the expense of the sweet. In many ways its flavor was very on par with a moderately dry champagne.
Mouthfeel – A crisp mouthfeel with a lighter body and a bit of a higher carbonation level. Again more dry champagne like; a bit of a bite on the tongue with some soothing carbonation bubbles.
Overall – It was worth a try, but nothing I would go to on any real occasion. If looking of a beer alternative to a champange then this is it, but otherwise nothing too spectacular.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured bright red with a bubbly pink head. Aroma of tart raspberries and Brett funk. Sweet and sour flavor. Palate is light, fizzy, and lively. Good fruit beer but not really my favorite style.
