3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2012 Serving: draft at Fire Works Leesburg. Pours black with a light tan head. The nose has light dark fruit and roast notes. The flavor has notes of earth, roast, bubble gum, musty yeast, and stone fruit. Medium body with soft carbonation. Tasty.
Updated tasting: A 750 ml bottle from Total Wine Sterling. The nose smells of old shoes and cola. The flavor has a strong anise note with notes of cola and musty hops and malt. Not appealing at all and a drain pour. Proof positive that this brew doesnít age well at all. Iím leaving the rating the same based on the draft version.
