4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 17, 2010
Tap, Malt and Vine. Hazed golden pour with a lovely thick layer of white foam. This has a very yeasty aroma of tropical fruit, with some ripe peach and citrus notes. Reminded me a bit of the aroma of Unibroue’s yeast, but toned down with a bit more hops. Tastes of hay, grass, citrus, coriander, and spice. On the drier side with just a light sweetness to it. Very easy to drink and nicely balanced between the Cascade hoppiness and the aromatic Belgian yeast.

The aroma of a sweet blonde ale come through in this Belgian pale ale. The hazy orange sunset color has a decent head. The flavor has a bit of funk on this pale ale, but it is Belgian after all. There is not the overpowering hops you expect, but goes down well.

Hazy yellow orange color with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is awesome. Very floral, lots of juicy hops and some faint spice. Taste is a bit herbal and juicy. Nice citrus hops and a nice dryness. Nice lively full body. Very enjoyable, crisp and clean.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 13, 2010
Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a slight tarnished gold, white head, good lace. Particularly malty nose but also has a good floral, slightly grassy hop aspect as well. Flavor is a little sweet, not too bitter. Has that Belgian blond/pale ale aspect i’ve seen other places. Pretty good easy drinking beer, but not done as well as some others I’ve seen.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 redlight (2289) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2010
draft @ redlight redlight. Floral, spicy aroma sweet citrus blossoms with hints of coriander and white pepper. Pours a slightly hazy blonde with a thick white head. Citrusy with tropical fruit notes with some sweetness with some grassy notes as well. Finishes dry with hints of grapefruit. Nice hop flavor but not overly hoppy and combined with fruitiness of the Belgian yeast makes a very nice beer.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a big creamy white head. Nice soft musk and yeast, soft wheat and a very faint dry hop aroma. Medium bodied light and gently sweet with a nice amount of wheat and a bit of fruity citrus. Crisp finish with apple and musk notes. Pretty tasty.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheBeerGod (4632) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - APR 10, 2010
Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Hazy amber pour with a tall, thick, frothy white head. Bubblegum, dusty, Belgian yeast, ripe fruit, sweet malt, and light spices in the aroma. Taste is more bubblegum, candied fruit, grains, Belgian yeast, floral hops, light spices and citrus notes. Light tropical fruit as well. Body is light-medium and rather bubbly due to the strong carbonation. Ends with more bubblegum, candi sugar, dried fruit, dusty yeast, floral hops, citrus notes and sweet malts. Nice!
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bluejacket74 (992) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - APR 10, 2010
750 ml corked and caged bottle, bottled on 1/19/2010, best before January 2011. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with a frothy inch and a half white head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. Aroma is citrus (tropical fruit, grapefruit, orange peel), yeast, pine hops and a bit of cloves. I think the taste is pretty similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some candi sugar and peppery spice. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating and is well carbonated. Drinkability is pretty good, it’s smooth, refreshing and very easy to drink. It’s a good beer today, and would be even better on a hot day. And for $6.99 a bomber, it’s a good beer at a good price.
