Great beer. Can’t find anything to give a -point to. Citrusy, wheat, but you will never know it. Great color, wonderful head, lacing. Smell, flavor, and feel. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

I’m going to do it... here we go... 4.8!
Exactly what I want in a beer. I never thought Belgian yeasts and NW hops could be blended correctly, and this made me very sad. This beer completely changed my outlook on this, and the brewers somehow used Cascadian hops to enhance the flavour. I don’t know how they did it, but I’ve been learning how to homebrew recently and can think of no other beer which I want to emulate more than this. It’s quite expensive here in Canada but I’m planning to buy many more.
Love the balance between aroma and flavour so much, how they are at once completely new and unexpected, with the citrus hops on the nose and slight Belgian fruitiness on the tongue, yet go together so well.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 20/20 obguthr (3225) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - MAY 5, 2010
Fantastic mixture of funk, marshmallow, clover, and mint on the nose. Cloudy golden, thick pale yellow head. A blast of funk followed swiftly by mossy pine, finishing with light lemon zest. Solid malt backbone. Great balance with distinct transitions. Well done with quality ingredients. Really, really good.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 unclemattie (3705) - Georgia, USA - JAN 24, 2011
Caged and corked, 750ml bottle. Bottled on 09.21.2010, one month to the day older than unclemattiejr. Golden orange color. Huge Froth of a head. It resembles a newborn albino’s scrotum. Bright white and wrinkled. Next is the aroma. Wonderous floral bouquet. Herbal and citrus under big florals. The florals are so overwhelming. Flavor is a pure, clean malt. All followed by a resin, medicinal, floral, hop heaven character that again takes the marquee. Finishes very smooth, a mellow dry malt, lots of aromatic hops. Couldn’t ask for a better beer. So close to perfect, I feel guilty for not sharing this bottle just for the taste alone.

I don’t get a lot in the aroma, but I sure get a lot in the beer! Has a nice light Sierra-Nevada like flavor but with added Belgian spice. Really quite good. After the Squatter’s Hell’s Keep (which I didn’t like) I’m glad I had one more to finish off the night.
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 DoublEE (509) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - AUG 1, 2012
very drinkable dynamic Belgian Pale Ale. I would pick this up again especially if I want something that is more on the belgian/pilsner malt side of pale ales.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 BeerKurve (218) - - MAY 15, 2012
Very foamy 5 finger head that lingers for a while! Aroma gives the impression of a very hoppy beer, while the actual flavor is a very rich & well balanced combination of Citrus Hops, Yeasts, Bananas, Cloves, and Malts. Definitely one of my favorite Belgian Style Ales!
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 pottygok (346) - Ohio, USA - FEB 24, 2011
Aroma: Citrus--grapefruit, maybe?--hops, with hints of floral.
Appearance: Sparking gold with thick, white head.
Taste: Complex--Medium sweetness balanced with medium bitterness, light sourness and a hint of salt in the finish.
Palate: Medium body, lively carbonation, decent flavorful finish
Overall: Very beautiful beer. This is elegant with a lot of depth. Not my ideal, but a beer that certainly caught my attention.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 ericnixon (737) - Vermont, USA - SEP 9, 2010
A big bottle. Nice citrus-y aroma with a cloudy orange color. Nice smooth mouthfeel with a mellow flavor with just the right balance of everything. Not too hoppy at all. Just right.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 drpimento (1936) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Served at a good temperature and with a large, fluffy, frothy, billowy, cream colored head and some lace. Color is a clear amber with a couple of lazy bubble trails. Aroma is a traditional Belgian blonde, spicy, malt, a bit of fruit, not overly sweet. Body is ok and carbonation is a little on the flat side. Finish is similar to flavor and on the short side. Beer promises huge dividends and is excellent, but seems somehow as if it should be better.
