Aroma is yeast, spice, malty/ bready, some brett funk in there and some sour notes as well. Flavor is much the same malty, spicy, yeasty funkiness, some citrus and pepper in the finish. Quite nice but way overpriced for a Saison made on US soil. For the money I’ll stick with Saison Dupont. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA

There is also a little dry alcohol, with a wooden smell. The appearance is copper in color with a thin white collar, with a little bubbling foam on top. The flavor is dry with somewhat of a beer/wine taste. There are definite notes of Belgium yeast. The feel is dry, with a slight effervescent feel, with a mildly tart finish. bierkoning (6113), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Batch #2. 750ml corked bottle served in a Chimay chalice. Poured a reddish gold with a finger of white head. A bit of brett in the aroma along with some citrus and sugar. Light bodied, very refreshing. Dry with a spritzy mouthfeel. Lightly tart, could be a little more for my taste. Nothing substantial, but very drinkable. A training wheels Brett beer. Considering the price, I don’t think I would buy it again.
