The aroma is sharp and smoky with light chocolate notes and stronger dark fruit notes. The body is black with a light mocha colored head that is pinky thin. Sharp, lightly acidic and chocolaty with coffee bitterness and acidity thrown in for good measure. Faintly metallic and tart with and ashy chalky finish.

750ml corked bottle. "True" Belgian style Chocolate Stout. Cocoa Ale or something along those lines, would be a better fit in my opinion. Bellyaching aside, this is one of the finer "Cocoa Ales" I’ve had. Nice sweet chocolate aroma. Attractive opaque black appearance. Mellow carbonation. Chocolate syrup taste that comes off surprisingly well. The ABV is perfect for the style, the beer maintains a solid body while being very drinkable. Exceptional beer, recommended.

not bad...chocolate and alcohol brew with a port like velvet palate. really nice chocolate flavors. touch of fruit and i like the complementary interplay between the beer itself and the better tasting foam. a sipper indeed as the brew flattens out as it sits

Bottle. Pours black with a weak dirty brown head. Strong malt aroma with a bit of mocha. Thick and creamy to the palate. Taste starts out malty with a coffee and cocoa middle and a mildly bitter finish.

750 Bottle....Dark brown(like extra dark pepsi)...light brown sugar head....Light sniff--faint chocolate...just faint...Strong sniff--chocolate, very easter...like a hollow bunny...hollow meaning not much chocolate....metal in the mouth--on 1st sip!....I’m wondering if the metal taste will dissipate as the air enters...so I wait 20 minutes....ok same metal just a tad less....thin body--just pure metal and prune juice....no chocolate, no indulgence...rename it metallic indulgence please or never make again....lacing ok dotted and light...the bubbles left in glass are very much in resemblance of dishwasher soap mixed with water---bleh beer bleh...glad I was sharing this one......heres a thought, maybe a got a bad bottle??

Not for chugging. This is one of the most viscous beers I have ever had. By beer, I actually mean chocolate syrup. The best part was that it wasn’t obnoxously sweet and was actually pleasantly bitter. It was huge, but not overdone.

Bottle. Dark brown/black color, big, brown sticky head, lasts and laces. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate just a touch of roast. Flavor is robustly amlt heavy, chocolate (surprise), coffee, with a bit of nuttiness. Very smooth drinking, roast isn’t overdone and not acrid or acidic at all. Keeping in line with their decent lineup, this is one solid brew. Very smooth drinking sipper.

From recent stout tasting. The packaging leads one to believe that it’s going to be good - I mean it’s corked! They put a cork in this beer - so it’s got to be special. Ehhhh... it’s not. It’s not bad but very average. The chocolate wasn’t stong enough for them to be calling it chocolate indulgence by any means.
