[837-20071115] 1pt9.4floz (c/o DuctTape, w/ him, jerc). Roasted woody coffee aroma has a hint of nail polish. Dark brown black body with a quick foamy light brown head. Flavour is mostly roasted malt with a bit of smoky room and not enough chocolate. Full body is smooth but has a bitter finish. Alcohol is well-hidden.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy with a frothy top brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was chocolate and cocoa. The thick smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The yummy flavor contained notes of mild hops cocoa and chocolate. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Pours a deep black with a tan head. Aroma is moderate with chocolate and some hops. Flavor is not intense but yet filled with chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit.

750 ml bottle - pours think black w/ chocolaty colored head that quickly fades to the edges; choco and roasted malt aromas; texture is slightly creamy, but light in flavors’ slightly bitter finish and rather disappointing

black with medium light brown head. Dark fruit aroma with bitter chocolate. Taste is ver smooth and melow chocolate and belgium yeast. A little bit of burnt coffee. Bitter finish is a bit too much.

Bottle. I was surprised when I saw an Ommegang on the shelf that I had never had before, and even more shocked that it was 14.00 dollars??! Oh well. Pours out a dark brown color with a tan head on it. Smell is sweet, full of chocolate (surprise..) and a little hint of hops. Taste is smooth and rich, almost like eating a bar of chocolate. Thick and no alcohol detected at all. A very good foreign stout, underrated at best. May get another one to age it, not sure yet. I hope this becomes a regular release.
