3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark brown with small head. Not what I expected and not my favorite. I understand this is a Belgian stout, but way too much clove and not enough roasted malt and chocolate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle thanks to respertFTW. Deep brown with a darker, beige head. Chocolate, earthy minerals and clove aromas. Maybe should be called "clove indulgence."

10oz draft poured dark brown with nice mocha head. soft silky chocolate accentuated with roasted malts. the flavor was quite smooth not bitterness to speak of just chocolately goodness, creamy texture blended very well. for a chocolate stout this rates up there. glad I finally got to taste this one.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had really high expectations for this beer, between the cost, the bottle and the name. Perhaps they were too high, but I was disappointed all around, except for the appearance. I like the dark brown head, good lacing. I still can’t taste the chocolate. Hoppy, no bitterness, slight carbonation. Is drink it again if someone else buys it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light scent, cream and rye-y sweet Belgian yeast. Average to low carbonation, fairly dry finish. Taste is Belgian yeast on the bitter rye side, creamy lactose, doughy vanilla and chocolate syrup. Interesting Belgian style winter beer with chocolate flavor.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taste is yeast predominantly. Some chocolate, dried fruit. Medium body. Big, beautiful, fluffy head. Would be improved greatly by a thicker palate. Good beer.
