Baseball and beer. Few things are more ingrained in America’s psyche than baseball and beer. The histories of both are laden with traditions and transcendence. Rascals and radicals. Celebration and shared experience. Treasured summertime moments with sun on our faces and a beer in our hands. The timeless game defines our past and guides our future.

Lightly golden-straw hue with a lasting thick, white head. Aromas of sweet malt, floral with slight citrus are followed by delicate herbal notes. Faintly sweet giving way to mellow, lightly floral hop flavor and notes of banana and pears from our signature house yeast. Nicely balanced with a clean herbal-hopped finish makes this an enjoyably, quaffable ale.

If you’ve had a lot of Ommegang beers, you’ve basically had this beer, since it tastes exactly like their house yeast with slight hints of fruitiness. But it’s mostly all yeast flavor, which is fine because the Ommegang yeast is quite good for these light sipper summer beers.

Hazy light honey color with a big head of fine bubbles. Aroma yeasty and floral with a strong spicy note. Taste light and refreshing, strong spice note, coriander, all spice, nutmeg maybe. Would make a great summer beer if it weren’t for the fact that I goddamn hate Belgian beer...

The aroma is fruity and yeasty with sweet malt and grassy hops. The appearance is golden. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is typical. Overall a good but forgettable beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a large white head that lasted through mid-glass and left ample lace. Pleasant aroma of fruity Belgian yeast, candi sugar and banana. The flavor is malt with strong fruity Belgian yeast, mild lemon and banana. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Slight lingering dryness after the swallow. Enjoyable.

Bottled. Nose of biscuit, lemon, Belgian yeast, wheat. Bright pastel gold, cloudy, with a high, fine head. Crisp lemony flavor, light bread, nicely bitter. Good overall balance and flavor. A lovely, crisp, and fruity light Belgian hoppy blonde.

I've just never been a wheat beer kind of guy. Orange peel, coriander, etc.

Clear blonde pour with ring of white head. lemongrassy and zesty but not wheaty. yeasty, but not bready. Refreshing and crisp and a little spicy floral hops on the bite. Not bad, don’t want another though.

Pretty fascinating taste. Noted a strong yeasty smell in the bottle with a bit of citrus. Tasted almost lemony, and I felt a surprising burn in the back of my throat that may have been from a cough, but I don’t think so. Strong but rapid carbonation on the back of the tongue. Borderline a soda, but much better tasting. I liked it.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse, opened 6/4/14. Pours a clear golden color with a large pillowy light tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of doughy, bready malt, yeast, caramel, spicy hops. The taste is stone fruits, bread, yeast, spice, spicy hops. Medium bodied, high carbonation, decent balance, fairly refreshing. Would be decent at a ball game.
