3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
If youíve had a lot of Ommegang beers, youíve basically had this beer, since it tastes exactly like their house yeast with slight hints of fruitiness. But itís mostly all yeast flavor, which is fine because the Ommegang yeast is quite good for these light sipper summer beers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
New Beer Distributors, NYC 12 ouce: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is light citrus, lemon, herbs, a bit of hops. Taste is sweet with a nice bitter element. Belgian ale, but very American given the hoppy profile. Pretty good. I had a good day yesterday.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. Not sure if this is a summer only release or if available all year round. If it was a summer only, it has held up well. Straw color with lasting head. Aroma shows the distinctive Ommegang house yeast, fruit and floral hops character. The base of the brew has baked white bread, light fruity (pears, banana) and also light pepper in the finish. The body is light with a nice refreshing finish. This is a damn fine summer style ale. I could not find a bottle date, so if it is old, Iím impressed.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy gold with a nice fluffy head. A rather pleasant aroma of citrus, straw, clove, bubblegum gives this a spring feel. Rereshing going down with some spicy character that does a decent job of countering a fairly substantial fruity ester sweetness. The flavors mostly consist of whatís noted in the scent. Its a little bigger in the body than Iíd like but all around a good beer. And itís from Cooperstown, so itís got that going for it.

Appearance: Golden and hazy, with a surprisingly low white foam head. Beer likely isnít itís freshest.
Aroma: Pear and spicy clove phenols. No real notice of malt on the nose.
Taste: Light malt sweetness and very fruity (banana, apple, pear). Gives way to a spicy hop bitterness, slightly stronger than expected.
Mouthfeel: Lightto moderate body with high carbonation.
Finish: Dry with a sharp spicy hop bitterness. Fruity esters linger a bit
Overall: Good Belgian Blonde. Belgian yeast character dominates with a little higher bitterness than typical. Bottle sampled wasnít at optimal freshness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I am not quite sure what Iíd call this style. It sort of strikes me as a hoppy witbier or something or maybe some folks would call it a saison. I dunno. It is pretty good and hoppy Belgians are pretty much right up my alley. It is pale yellow in the glass and very cloudy--part of what reminds me of witbier. Itís head is big and creamy, leaving behind lace in great sheets. Lemons zest hits first in the nose but some lavender notes and bit of fruity Belgian yeast. This has a nice creamy mouthfeel but has prickly carbonation which just the banana-like sweetness. It finishes w/ some lingering spice and sweetness on the tongue along w/ a very slight touch of acidity. The bottle of this stuff I got is old--Summer seasonal in December--but itís still really great. I am hoping I remember to buy a bunch of this stuff next summer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Nose strongly Belgian, a Saison yeast, black-peppery and spicy, herbal mace sharpness, strong vanilla and strong lemony citrus, potently estery, kind of exciting and not too neutered. Lightly hazy yellow-golden pour with tons of carbonation and a huge, rocky bright white head - just lovely. Taste relatively dry with a strong, strong herbal element right from the start that cuts up the middle, again more peppery and floral notes, leafy, with light clean bitterness and light herbal hops, strong and growing esters. Also picking out some intense tangerine and light gf juice with volume. Pale/Pils malt, crisp medium body, sometimes the bottom drops out and leaves a watery citrus bomb, other moments show more balance. Every thing clean and fresh, just lovely.
