Bottle at Dadtoberfest. Pours gold with a white head. Yeasty, light fruity, floral and herbal hops, hint of peppery spice, lighter grains, and just a touch of funkier yeasty notes. Nice enough.

On tap at Coles
Aroma milder nose, golden malts, slight hop side, soft yeasty hints. 7-
Appearance clear golden brew with white mid lighter top.3+
Flavor and Palate : Fairly yeasty, medium light bodied with candy sugars. Slight dryness of alcohol on top end. Bit rough here and there. Tad salty , with late bitterness. I can see blend of Duvel and Ommegang character here.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Churchkey. Clear gold pour with frothy white head. Aroma of grain, noble hops and alcohol are all pretty much on par with Duvel, but you can tell that the yeast is different, much "dirtier " smelling than normal. Taste is slightly boozy, the yeast contributes an interesting spiciness to it all. Palate is on the mark, very dry with high carbonation. Interesting experiment.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at Dadtoberfest. The aroma is sweet, earthy, pepper. The aroma was hazy gold, white head. The flavor was virtually the same. The finish was peppery, but a residual sweetness as well. Enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours with a hazy golden hue. Nice head fading to thin lace. Aroma pleasant with belgian yeast and malty sweetness. Hits the palate with toasted malt and caramel finishing with a spicy punch of belgium funk. A rustic version of duvels golden ale. A little disapointing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
bottle shared by Jay at Dadtoberfest. Spicy and barnyard notes on the nose. Yeasty funk and caramel malts on the palate. Susty and mellow. Tasty. Also, love the new labels. As Jay points out though, what is the point of making a pricier duvel clone?

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle I took to Dadtoberfest. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Soft grain, a touch of yeast, sweet grain and toast. Musk, medium bodied, toast, grain, a good bit of musk. A touch of earthy hops. Soft bitterness into the finish, a touch of musk, grain, toast. Tasty enough, but for the price I’d rather have three times as much Duvel.
