3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12-oz. Pours a slightly hazy lemony golden with an enormous surging sudsy platinum blonde head that makes you think beforehand if you want a nice pour. Decent lacing. Nose is light floral in a spicy way, but overridden with a fair bit of mustiness that’s somewhere between a very light basementy funk and a more corked quality. Would be a higher score if I could have decided which it was. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sweetly spicy floral notes on the mid palate, along with some honey and mint. Mild finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Nose is beautifully yeast, sweet and floral, earthy and organic hops. Pale light neon yellow body with a soapy bright white head and tons of carbonation. Taste is very dry and medium-strongly bitter with floral and yeasty tones, faint bread, lovely lovely (aged?) noble hops. Belgian yeast is the character-driver here, subtle fruit, a little burn, black pepper, spice, great complexity. Medium-full body from the carb. Refreshing and quite effervescent!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pale golden body was hazy, and a large four finger thick head formed rapidly, despite me pouring the beer very gently. The look reminded me a lot of Duvel, but the floral hoppy smell was evocative more of an IPA. Besides the hops, there were spicy, dusty smells imparted by the house yeast strain. The taste was a great combination of typical Belgian Pale Ale flavors, of banana, papaya, melon, and white pepper, and a distinctive hop character. The finish was somewhat tart, and spicy. The body was light and alcohol well hidden. A very easy to drink beer with a refreshing take on the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy gold with a towering white head. Hay and hop aroma, with lavender and carnations (clove like) giving a real flowery note to the aroma.
Flavor is lightly sweet with a healthy amount of bitterness and a tasty yeast component. Finishes dry with some must and lemon peel.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
grassy, flowery and citrus smells coming off of this sucker. Ranking it highly for the aroma. Not bitter at all, though little malt shows through. good hop notes. Ironically, the yeast is the main event. Another good one from Ommegang.
