COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale. Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast.

Bottle. I love me some floral beers, and Ommegang did a good job with this one. Great on the nose, great on the tongue. You know the deal. Good hops, may have been better if it was a wee bit stronger.

bottle. a great looking glowing gold beer with cloudiness under a whipped white head. big herbal, grassy, vanilla, yeasty aroma. flavors of lemon, grass, band-aid phenols, plastic, hay, white grapefruit and pineapple. the phenols are acceptable in the style, however, quite obnoxious in this one which is my only turn off here...otherwise its almost perfect. it has a great refreshing, hoppy note with a high effervescence.

12 oz bottle pours a slightly hazy golden color with a fluffy white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of floral, pine, tropical, and Belgian yeast. Tastes of all the same things with a good hop presence. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing and chewy with a dry finish. It’s nice to see a brewery that make Belgian style beer brew a hoppy style also very light for the summer. Very tasty and full of flavor. Will definitely have this every summer.

Pale pour with a thin head. Full mouth. Some copper in the taste. Hoppy backbone. Very easy to drink and overall a fairly nice beer.

A hazed blonde ale with a thickk lacing frothy head. In aroma, a smoth fruity malt with grassy citrusy hops, and light solvent. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with orange pulp, grassy hops, coriander, decent.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Bitter hoppy malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Looks promising with hazy orange yellow pour big white head some retention. Aroma of steel and grassy hops some yeast some tart some pepper. Tastes of passionfruit coming off the hops, yeasty briney peppery kick and tart dry finish. Some creamy lactic mouthfeel on the end. Perfect lighter than moderate carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Lightly hazy yellow color with a huge, frothy, white head. The aroma is immense citrus notes, bread dough, herbal hops, and some light grains. The flavor is citrusy sweetness up front, with a nice hop bite. Good, clean finish. The body is very light, and the mouthfeel is lightly acidic. Light carbonation. Overall, this is a light, refreshing, and very drinkable beer. Complex enough to ponder while you drink, but still very sessionable.

12-oz. Pours a slightly hazy lemony golden with an enormous surging sudsy platinum blonde head that makes you think beforehand if you want a nice pour. Decent lacing. Nose is light floral in a spicy way, but overridden with a fair bit of mustiness that’s somewhere between a very light basementy funk and a more corked quality. Would be a higher score if I could have decided which it was. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sweetly spicy floral notes on the mid palate, along with some honey and mint. Mild finish.
