2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy yellow with a big frothy white head. Floral aroma, spicy, yeasty and kinda soapy. Spicy and yeasty flavor, a bit soapy, with a bitter note. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. I’ve had better from Ommegang.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Lightly hazed gold body with a tall white head. Lemon oil and pith and pineapple rind esters and phenols with floral dish soap and brett-like must / BO. Some dried pineapple develops with time and it gets more phenolic and "peppery" and grassy and vegetal. More lemon and flowers in the mouth. Nicely bitterness, some tartness, medium sweetness, well balanced, natural carbonation, some graininess to the malt. Pretty enjoyable, quenching and fun to smell.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cityfresh Associated Supermarket, Bushwick growler ($10): Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, flowers, frutiness, and a bit of spice. Taste is sweet, but sufficiently hoppy. Aftertaste of yeast and hops linger on into the aftertaste. This is a really well done Belgian ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with foamy white head. Actually had to wait to finish pouring the entire bottle, very bubbly. Floral aroma, maybe some citrus. Lots of yeasties in the bottom of the glass. Very sweet taste...not too big on the hops. Definitely has the Belgian yeast in it. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
7/29/13 (Ommegang Brewery Restaurant)-Pours a hazy golden with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, grass, and hay. Taste of the same with a nice dryness. This light to medium bodied brew is well balanced and was quite tasty.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle. Aroma is very floral, living up to its name; it’s also peppery, Belgian yeast phenols--clove is prominent, dusty basement. Pours hazy gold with a giant white soapy head; leaves some lace. Taste is sweet, savory and earthy before turning lightly bitter; also some candy sweetness lingers in the finish. A little thin, carbonation a little too low for my liking. Even with the palate flaws, this is a fine beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Bright and clear golden, moderate white frothy head, little lacing.   Vibrant grassiness, a little hay and straw, pale floral notes.   Pale straw, a little dusty and musty.   Not as
bright as the nose suggests.   Wished it were more floral.   Seems a touch herbal.   Its light, clean, and easy drinking.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft sweet straw and hay on the finish.   Just a
smidgen or floral or herbal notes.   Wished it were brighter.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler from Lizardville Bedford Hghts. I have had this four times and forgotten to rate it each time, so here go from memory of last night when I drank a whole growler. Very pale hazy straw yellow with fluffy white head and lace. Floral bready lemon pastry aroma. Mild fruity apricot sweetness with bready yeasty floral spicy clean finish. Light and refreshing with effervescent carbo. More details next time because this is not a one-time-try-it-and-rate-it beer. Fucking excellent.
