COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale. Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast.

A very cloudy yellow ale with a fresh bouquet on the nose. There is a good bit of body but it is not heavy and yet something alluring and sophisticated. Another goodie.

Draft from notes. Floral and fruity with a little spice. A little bubblegum in there as well. Interesting and enjoyable, but this reminds me more of a saison than anything else.

12 oz - My for sensation with that of seltzer, and I’m not really sure how this differs from Hennepin.

Hazy deep yellow, white head forms a thin ring. Aroma is wild yeast, straw, spice, bubblegum. The body takes on an earthy quality with a sweet wood taste.

From the 355 ml. bottle dated Best By 10/20/14. The pour is a highly carbonated foggy pale yellow with a tremendous fluffy head that takes quite some time to settle back. The aroma is luscious with its Belgian inspired yeast, pale malt, biscuit, spicy, and earthy hop notes. The body is light and incredibly creamy. The taste has a slightly more citrus flavor with a peppery finish. I have a new favorite summer brew.

Tap at hoppy monk july 2013 Pours hazy lite orange with somewhat vigerous carbonation witb a small sudsy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is very spicy herbal grassy hops witb some medicinal yeast character. Flavors are very spicy hops peppery with some resin on the finish. Very dry witb a soft palate. Lite lemngrass and herbal qualities long into the finish. A very solid beer but not very belgian if you ask me. Saison meets hoppy pilsner.

On tap at Zeno’s. Nice floral-fruity nose, like a traditional saison. Honey and bubblegum and spice. Mild hops. Light golden clear with some haze, topped with thin head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts medium sweet with dry hop flavor, bubblegum, and wheat. Fairly dry finish with smooth sweet after.
