COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Collaboration with HBO for the Game of Thrones series.

Blonde ale with malty sweetness and a touch of fruity spiciness, Noble Hops aromas and notes of citrus. Suitable to serve to kings, or pretenders to the iron throne.

Pour slowly so as to not disturb the yeast sediment, but with enough vigor to create a luxurious head and release the rich bouquet.

On tap. Served a hazy pale golden color with a thick head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, bit of malt sweetness, spice and hint of yeast. Taste of citrus, malt sweetness with light fruit and trace of spice. nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, smooth with a rich feel to it. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy.

From the bottle it is clear highly carbonated and golden with a thick white head, aroma is citrus similar to a lemon peel maybe some cloves, the taste is a very good blonde ale nice malty notes, the mouthfeel is medium to thick with a finish that is more yeasty and bright

Pours a very hazy, pale golden yellow color with straw/banana hues and a frothy, pillowy white head. Great retention, only slowly settling into a lasting cap/ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Strong bready yeast character in the aroma with zesty spice, banana and cirus fruit notes. Some bubblegum character along with a strong banana and yeast presence. Peppery spice with hints of clove, coriander, lemon zest and grains of paradise. Somewhat inviting aroma but the yeast and banana are really strong, negatively affecting the aroma, in my opinion. On the fuller end of medium body with lots of bread/yeast and zesty spice flavor. Again, there’s a very strong banana bread flavor along with some bubblegum, clove, coriander, pepper and grains of paradise followed by zesty orange peel. The spice character is strong and his beer has some good zesty citrus fruit sweetness but the yeast and bubbllegum/banana flavors are too strong for my liking. Decent but a bit disappointing given the pedigree of the brewery and my excitement over the possibility of this series. Hopefully the other beers in the series turn out better.

I had missed this when it first came out. Bottle. Poured a hazy orange yellow, nice head. Aroma was crackery malts, faint citrus, and some peppery spice. Flavor matched. Very enjoyable Belgian style brew, almost like a wit without the wheat. Good.

On draft at Bigelo’s. This looks and smells very Belgian. Full of haze, this is white gold with a white foamy head. Belgian yeast aroma with fruit. The flavor is much more vibrant with spice and citrus hops that grab. Some earth and herbal notes. Interesting stuff.

Pretty nice. Clear golden. Belgian yeast, biscuit, slight fruitiness. Big mouthfeel for a blonde, but still a clean tasting beer,

Pours a hazy gold from the bottle with a thick white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast and apples. Medium carbonation on the tongue with hop bitterness and a funky bitter Belgian taste that is a bit earthy. There’s some sweet citrus in there that makes it almost like a saison, just not enough of it. Tastes like a farmhouse ale mixed with hot garbage.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a huge, pillowy white head, lasting. Aroma of citrus, lemon, coriander, light basement mustiness, biscuit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to thin body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Tastes of fruit Belgian yeast, floral hops, citrus, light biscuit and a hint of pepper in the finish. A sweet, comfortable beer, easy drinking. Thin for 6.5%.
