4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yes, a straight up 4.0 from a draft tulip at Standard Market. Body is solid and dark red, even brown, under a stable eggshell head. The beer menu did not mention chiles, and I could not name them in the nose or taste. I did a rich malty smell with what I thought was a tang of sour cherry. The taste was quite dense and complex. A little stone fruit ester against a slightly citrusy hop load. I counted the spicy taste as coming from its ale yeast and maybe some wheat or rye, again missing out on chile. Finished with notes of cinnamon and red wine.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Ommegang Game of Thrones #3 - Fire and Blood) Bottle 650 ml, corked and caged, from Summer Santa, thanks! Served into a big tulip, ABV 6.8%
Mahogany brown red colour on the body, mostly clear, with one finger of off-white head on top, with good density and retention.
Arom aof caramel, lots of red fruits, marmalade, berries, light alcohol after some deep sniffing.
Taste is mildly sweet, with plenty of red fruits, sugars, marmalade, berries, toffee, I can’t taste any peppers though.
Medium body with soft carbonation, a bit sticky on the palate.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours a hazy, chestnut brown with a red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of dark fruit, caramel malt, bread and rye. Sweet flavour of dark fruit, caramel malt, bread, a hint of roast and a dry, spicy, mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated on 7-26-2015 (Corked and caged bottle) This beer’s appearance is a huge smooth ivory head that mostly diminished, amber transparent body, very little carbonation observed, floaties, and a good amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma presents rye, fruity, spicy, pepper, and malt. The flavor is spice, rye, chili, rye, dark fruits, and yeast. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. A drinkable beer with a good flavor and it is worth trying.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
When I first saw the Valar Morghulis brew, I asked the cashier where I was buying the beer if he’d had it. He told me he had not, but that it was probably the best Game of Thrones beer because it was closest to their regular Dubbel, and that some of the other Game of Thrones beers were "brewed with some crazy stuff." This one is like that in that it incorporated Ancho Chiles, and they can be tasted just as you swallow, and they’re there just enough to take a point off. The rest of the experience is great; strong but not too strong, rich in color, and smells great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark, deep golden amber color with mahogany edges and a massive off-white foam head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Possibly over carbonated with visible bubbles rising up rapidly. Sporadic spotty lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly spicy malt aroma with hints of bread, biscuit, caramel and toffee followed by subtle vinous fruit, ground peppers and spicy rye. Subtle earthy pine needle with grass, straw and oily resins. Peppers stand out as it warns along with the toffee, caramel and biscuit. Some rose water and flower petal along with dark berry sweetness. Smells pretty interesting.
Medium body with a strong peppery spice presence up front that lingers over the sweeter notes and earthy hop bitterness into a lingering dry finish. Lots of crushed chili pepper(but not overly hot/spicy) and spicy rye character giving this beer some uniqueness but it somewhat overpowers the other elements of the style. Muted sweetness but it comes to the forefront as it warms. Some dark berries and candy apple flavor along with caramel and toffee. Yeast character with bread and biscuit before hops come on strong toward the back of the palate. Dry piney bitterness with earthy resins and a touch of citrus sweetness. Oily, dry and bitter complimenting the rye/peppers and balancing the sweetner notes. Nothing to extraordinary but it’s an interesting take on the style. I’m a fan of the strong rye and pepper notes but they tend to overshadow the other flavors.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rating #1146 - Bottle bought at Sherbrooke because of Dragons. This was a deep coppery brown coloured pour with a mild tan foam that faded to a ring. Nose was teddy graham cookies, chocolate, vanilla. Mild alcohol warmth and carbonation (well disguised at 6.8%) Taste is roasty, mild heat from ancho chilies. mild peppery smokiness from the rye grain, mild toffee and caramel malt sweetness. Something has de-"throned" the balance.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured clear copper color with a 2-finger bone-colored head. Aroma of smoky chili pepper and spice, maybe some caramel underneath. Body is medium and well-balanced, with a soft finish. Flavor of nutty malt and spice, giving way to a smoky, fruity note from the ancho. A touch of heat at the back. Mild notes of bitter hops and grass appear as it warms.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, picked up somewhere in the US. Deep reddish colour, white foam. Soft mouthfeel, spicy, I guess rye. Maybe chillies although I didn’t get any heat. Big Belgian yeast. Balanced hopping. Quite restrained and yet nice.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of all foam finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent cola brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The balanced aroma was brown malt and musty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of toffee sweet mild hops and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
