COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delectable blonde ale is a co-creation of two famed farmstead breweries: Brewery Ommegang and Brasserie d’Achouffe. It employs five fine malts, two noble hops, and both of the distinctive Chouffe and Ommegang yeasts. You’ll enjoy the smooth drinkability, fruity aromas and flavors, and warming finish

Bottle from Helsdon -- thanks man! -- pours a murky deep orange. Next no head on my pour, which conflicts with reports & ratings below me. But what a fantastic treat of a brew this is: Belgian yeast goodness, pure beer candy mojo & a lovely sipper all in one. And careful, the alcohol at 9.5%, is on pure stealth mode here & will make the walk up the staircase & out of my freaky tiki man cave all that more interesting tonight. Wish I had more.

Pours yellow with a big head. Grassy and rather yeasty in the nose, seeming rather dry. Flavor is somewhat interesting, drinkable, but lacking dimensionality. Fruitiness was not as forward; and the moderate dryness turns out for the best. Decent but somewhat not to my liking this night. Bottle.

From a bottle. Pours hazy gold with a massive head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, clove, banana and spice. Flavors are citrus, cut grass, biscuit, black pepper with a resiny hop bite. Very nice rendition of a Belgian golden.

12oz bottle. Almost entirely hazy golden orange color. Pours with a big white head, that fades to about a finger quick enough, and stays for a bit before settling at a decent thin layer. Leaves good thicker lace. Nice bright belgian yeast character to this. Some lemon citrus, spice. Nice light banana in the finish. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, bright, light to moderate carbonation. Nice effervescence. Not too strong of carbonation, like a lot of belgian ales can have. Lightly dry finish. Moderate bitter, kind of zesty. Nice light alcohol heat. Light to moderate sweet. Pleasant amount of hop presence balances out this big belgian. Pretty great belgian blond strong ale. Nice bright balanced flavor. Works well with the alcohol.

draft - served too cold, needed to warm up before it lost a bit of a harsh edge. After that, very nice, I think more ommegang than d’Achouffe character. Even warmer didn’t have that softness I associate with ethe gnome. But quit good, very well balanced.

On tap at Wine Tap. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a robust white head. Bread dough and banana aroma. Taste is classic Belgian Blonde, but with a real kick. There’s plenty of mild spiciness with sweet pale malt, bread dough along with banana and citrus. ABV is well hidden, but will sneak up on you after a while. Great beer!

From notes.....Bottle at home. Yeast, anise, warm bready malt. Full bodied, slight dryness, lingering yeastiness into the finish. Yeast bomb.

On tap at Parry's. Sparkling golden color with a small white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of belgian wheat and citrus. Perfect carbonation. A very smooth beer with a bit if a bite at the end. Tastes yeasty and sweet and very belgian. A light Trappist-type feel. Yum. Beer candy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy golden copper color with a lovely white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, spices. Very nice light flavor with some heat at the end which makes it lovely. Awesome beer.

Floral and aromatic for a blonde ale with a touch of spice; unfiltered light golden pour from 12 oz bottle. Two fingers of foam in a snifter/tulip. Soapy lacing that doesn’t cling. Tastes of bitter flowers/fruit...apricot? Medium to full-bodied that is a touch creamy. Dry finish that you get with most Ommegang lighter SRM beers. Easily my favorite blonde ale - it’s not one of my favorite styles, but this is pretty nice.
