COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delectable blonde ale is a co-creation of two famed farmstead breweries: Brewery Ommegang and Brasserie d’Achouffe. It employs five fine malts, two noble hops, and both of the distinctive Chouffe and Ommegang yeasts. You’ll enjoy the smooth drinkability, fruity aromas and flavors, and warming finish

Golden straw colored. Fruity aroma and scents of hops. Thick white head and some carbonation. Fruity, banana, and clove taste. Hints of the vanilla. For a beer with lots of alcohol, it doesn’t have a strong alcohol taste. Smooth finish, no bitter aftertaste.

Gold. Nice aroma floral grass and mild citrus. Blond ale flavors - can't decide if it is sweet or not. Well balanced. Does not drink like a 9% beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is a lot like la chouffe, sweet and coriander. Taste is bitter, coriander, sweet , herbal. Ok, tastes like they brewed the la chouffe recipe in NY, with a tad more hops. Ok

Tap - big foamy head, light straw color, light and sweet malty aroma and flavor, with definite fruity Belg yeast spice and mild hops, hides the alchohol very well, very good overall for a "blonde" (all be it, strong blonde) kind of beer

Hazy orangish gold body. Sturdy white head that left solid snail trail. Spicy fruit nose - cinnamon, apples, crisp pears and some citrus scents pervade. Yeasty aroma was also noticeable. Nutty malt taste with spicy cloves. Very smooth with a creamy finish that had an inherent sweetness.

Bottle. Minimal aroma despite a lot of head on the pour. Fairly hazy pour but goes down very smoothly and doesn’t taste like 9.5% ABV. Taste of clove and fruits, slight apple flavor it seemed. Very good beer overall

bottle - Pours hazy copper and has an aroma of bready malt, earthiness, and yeast spice. The flavor is a sweet with a fruity, yeasty character and minimal alcohol. To me there was a bit of a cough syrup flavor that made it not as good as many of Ommegang’s beers. I’ve had the bottle for a long time and maybe it doesn’t age well. This style usually does, but who knows. It’s still fairly good.

Boa surpresa. Strong Ale tipo Belga de cor amarela acobreada. Bastante espuma, de cor branca. Ótimo conjunto, balanceando o malte, fermento e lupulo.

On the first day of Christmas 2014. Pours deep good with a small white head. Aroma is earthy, spicy, yeast, floral and hay. Taste is moderate bitters into a sweet finish. Overall an excellent beer.
