3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scipio (490) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Pours a bright and hazy yellowish golden with a medium white head. More sweet aroma contains orange, wheat, apple, banana, and spices. Very Belgainy. The taste is fruity which is balanced by a nice sweetness. It loses a little bit from the aroma. Here we find wheat, orange, banana, and just a touch of orange. Orange and wheat aftertaste is short. Alcohol content is noticed rather quickly. Medium bodied, thick in texture, with soft carbonation. Nothing really stands out with this one to make it really special, but its alright.

wonderful fruity aroma and soft head quickly give way to subtle nastiness and lingering fermented fruit flavor

Smells wheaty. Mild carbonation, mild flavor. Light bodied mouthfeel. Balanced hops/malt, slightly sweet with vanilla and orange notes. Maybe just my inexperience but it tases remarkably similar to a wit. Typical beer for me, goes down easy, could drink several of these - hides the 9.5% ABV well.

Aroma, I picked up vanilla and banana. The appearance is rusty-pale yellow. Flavor is sweet, hints of peach, pear, and banana with a slight tartness. On the palate, I'm tasting strong banana and peach flavors.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 J_man (537) - Tustin, California, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Malty and slightly sour aroma on a very hazy medium pale yellow body with a wispy white head. Crisp, light caramel malt and bready wheat flavor and a dried fruit and plum sweetness. A very light sourness and a dry earthiness helps balance out the sweetness and make this very drinkable. The alcohol has a nice bite and also helps balance things out without overwhelming even at 9.5% ABV. Finishes smooth and clean with some lasting sourness and wheat dryness. Refreshing, complex and delicious.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent yellow colored body. The funky aroma was vinous musty wheat dough and farm house. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish. The flavor contained notes of vinous candy floral hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
