This delectable blonde ale is a co-creation of two famed farmstead breweries: Brewery Ommegang and Brasserie d’Achouffe. It employs five fine malts, two noble hops, and both of the distinctive Chouffe and Ommegang yeasts. You’ll enjoy the smooth drinkability, fruity aromas and flavors, and warming finish

Hazy yellow gold with fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity with a touch of discernible alcohol. Tastes is sweet Belgian candi, peaches and other fruit. Finish is long and sweet just as most Belgians.

Gnomegang was difficult to find in Florida, but I came across a bottle (the last one) at Total Wine. I didn’t expect a lot after the pour, as I usually go for darker beers/stouts and it was very blonde in color. I enjoyed it a lot, however, and the finish was definitely smooth and fruity. Overall I enjoyed it quite a bit and hope to come across it again.

Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Nose is yeasty and fruity. Palate is medium heavy body. Taste is sweet malt with no trace of bitterness. My standard is Duvel. This does not reach that level.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a cloudy, very bubbly gold, with a huge lasting fluffy off-white head. Some lacing on the glass. Yeasty aroma along with some perfumey notes, bread, light herbs, a touch of bubblegum and finally, some grass. Flavour of Belgian yeast, also a bit sweet, grassy and perfumey, along with some herbs, alcohol and straw. Slightly harsh finish. Medium bodied. Though a bit boozy for a Blonde, still pretty good.

Always get the Belgian yeast coming through with these guys. Bready nose. Tastes of peach, bread, & lemon. A little more boozy than I am used to from Ommegang. Overall a nice clean Belgian Strong.

Clear copper pour. Aroma is cherry, vanilla, banana, and cloves. Tastes like ommegang like all their beers. I think they only have 3-4 beers total. Quite sweet and overall pretty decent but not that drinkable.

This beer pours crystal clear and light and is absolutely delicious. It actually tastes similar to a Tripel. Excellent!

On tap, poured into an 8oz flute. The aromas are quite muted with weak notes of bread dough, stone fruit, and some spice. It pours an oily looking clear straw yellow with a white, light thin head that reduces to only a light hazy layer and a thin ring; leaving a runny lace behind The taste is mostly a medium high sweetness with a light bitter touch. Much like it looks, it’s an oily textured beer with a medium full body and a relatively flat carbonation. It finishes with a fruity (peachy), alcohol warmth and a light spiciness. The aftertaste is not long lived and fairly mellow notes of grain and caramel.
