This delectable blonde ale is a co-creation of two famed farmstead breweries: Brewery Ommegang and Brasserie díAchouffe. It employs five fine malts, two noble hops, and both of the distinctive Chouffe and Ommegang yeasts. Youíll enjoy the smooth drinkability, fruity aromas and flavors, and warming finish

I love popping the cork on this one... The sweet spicy aroma blasts out of the bottle before I even pour it! The flavor follows suit. Just delicious!

Taste: Nice crisp, bready, spiced, tangy, banana notes. Complex yeast bread nose. Gold, mostly clear, with a big foamy white head and sticky lace. Medium almost filling body. Nice kick to it, very much a Belgian Tripel then blonde.

No where near as good as other Ommegang offerings. Is an OK beer but not one I would choose if other of their beers are available. No real aroma, appearance is fine, but not really any remarkable taste.

12oz bottle. Code dating is faded and indiscernible. Appearance: Golden and mostly clear, with some floating sediment and a frothy white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma: Fruity esters abound. Pear dominates, with some banana, clove, and apple. Also pick up a touch of alcohol. Taste: Rich malt sweetness, very fruity with pear most prominent, some banana, low spicing, a light bitterness and a strong, almost solvent like alcohol. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied, moderately high carbonation. Strong alcohol warming. Finish: Very dry. Fruity alcohol esters linger well after the swallow. Overall: Has the typical Belgian Strog Ale characteristics with fruity esters, sweet maltiness, and high carbonation. This differs in that the alcohol comes across a little too strong, with some heat and solvent like character that harms the overall balance of the beer.

Holy crap I had no idea this was 9,5%. Hazy gold orange with head and lace. Citrus melon herbal grassy aroma. Toasted honey peachy fruity malts with herbal grassy bitterness that lingers a little with a touch of pleasant booziness. Excellent.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours a hazy yellow with a huge foaming head. Great nose of bread and yeast. Mouthfeel is really thick and chewy. Same bread and yeast flavors. Really sweet and tasty. Delicious belgian.

This one is a doozy. It is big and alcoholic, sweet w/ tons of fruity yeast character. Though, itís a really big beer, it lends itself to slow sipping and as such does not really come across as too much--though itís damn close. There seems to be a touch of tartness and earthy bitterness in the finish which keeps the sweetness from cloying and the fruity character works well w/ itís thick, juicy texture. This is honestly not something Iíd drink regularly but it will definitely scratch that big Belgian itch for anyone who gets it.
