COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a large white head that quivers then fades. Aroma of citrus, flowers, spices. Taste is sweet (a little much for me), sour and pretty spicy. Oranges, lemon, vanilla, coriander, cloves. There’s a nice dusty interplay between the yeast and the light fruity malt - quite Duvelish. Very well hidden alcohol. Dry finish with tight, punchy spices. Lacks rusticity, but a good beer.

Poured hazy yellow with a big, fluffy head. Citrus not with some sweet and sour. Well made and enjoyable, but I prefer the tripels.

Bottle at Craig’s to finish the night. Pale, golden colour, pours with a large white head. Aroma of lemon, some mild mustiness, yeast is also quite present on the nose. Tastes very lemony, a little sour even. Some coriander and quite prickly mouthfeel. Not my favourite saison.
