12oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color. Aroma of Lemon, coriander, spice. Very ’clean’ smelling. Flavor is citrus, lemon, coriander, wheat, alcohol. Good, but I have had better saisons with a bit more depth.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bluevegie (2854) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 1, 2011
Fairly pale straw coloured body with decent head. Light spice, cloves and banana on the nose. The taste is similar to the aroma, soft and easily drinkable.
2.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drywallman (282) - Lake in the Hills, Illinois, USA - MAY 31, 2011
This one did indeed remind me a little of champagne with the fine bubbles and light but not necessarily dry malt introduction. It had a generous head and this aerated the aromas. The malt reminded one of hay (bread/rye) and had a matching grassy hop balancing finish. A good refresher, not a lot of heavy body.

750ml at Hopmonk. Foggy gold with generous fluffy white head. Delicately peppered aroma shares space with pineapple and toasted bread stuff. On the sweet side for a saison, with plenty of exotic fruit and spice, as well as some interesting and never-offensive yeasty tones. Not the driest saison by a long shot, but powerfully carbonated. Hennepin is a better standalone drink than its more authentic competitors.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mad_Ferret (460) - SWEDEN - MAY 30, 2011
Bottle. Hazy golden orange with a short fluffy compact egg white head that leaves some stripes and spots.
Fruity and acidic yeasty aroma with lemonpeel, oranges, apples, slight banana, sweet cookie dough and almond paste in the background. Also some blurry peppery spicy notes with some coriander.
Taste is oranges, some lemon, banana, some peach, slight spicy, some cookies and it finishes off with a zesty woody bitterness.
Medium to thinner body with small sparkeling bubbles.
Quite nice and drinkable.

Bottled: Golden colour with a slight haze. Head is big and thick. Earthty, cidery aroma with notes of toffee and apples. Cidery, earthy apple flavour with notes of toffee. Very refreshing, a real summer beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ttutony (509) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2011
Golden yellow with a rocky white head. Great Belgian yeast aroma profile, good spicy phenolics. Pleasant grainy malt on the palate. Good saison.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Chipalsa (483) - Florida, USA - MAY 17, 2011
Pours a nice bubbly yellow with a thick head. Lacing was smooth and left trails in the glass as I drank. Scents of cinnamon, bananas and clove come to mind - overall sweet and very spicy. The flavor was as usual for a saison, strange at first and then it grows on the palate. There was some citrus at first behind the high carbonation, which then fell into some sweet yeast, bananas and light spices, mainly cinnamon. This beer was refreshing, a little funky and great.
