4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 The aroma presents a sweet alcohol braced mix of yeast and malt. Reminds me a little of the aroma from a dopplebock and knocks on the door of the banana laden weizenbocks. Definite fruit notes that include pear and apple, but it isnít a stretch to name banana or at least the Now N Later artificial version of banana. The body is a pale yellow gold and holds a pinky sized head that appears creamy viewed from the top, but bubbly from the sides. The fore flavor is heavy with alcohol laced fruits and estery yeast notes. Very soft mouthfeel, but it is punctuated by a crisp carbonated feel during the swallow. The finish is slightly dry and chalky. The beer comes across very decadent and expensive and Iíd quickly recommend it to a friend.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sweet spicy smell... cloudy yellow with thick white. Mild flavor, lightly sweet and spicy. Not much to it,really. It is more robust in smell than taste.

12oz bottle. The first thing you notice about this is that as you pour it, the head forms faster than the rate of pour. Pretty much have to pour it in shifts. Great farmhouse aroma. Sweetness from bubblegum and banana is wonderfully balanced by a tart mustiness. First sip is dry, tart and somewhat sweet. It meets your tongue with a sweetness (banana, honey, citrus) and then hits the back of your throat with a peppery spice and a tart dryness. As it warms, it gets a little funky, but still refreshing none the less. A great brew for a warm and humid summer night out on the front porch.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Orange and spice in the aroma. Slightly cloudy with a golden yellow color. Some orange and ginger spice like flavor with some hop bitterness. There is some sweetness from the malt and sugar used in this beer but the body is light with a crisp finish. The beer is very effervescent and has the light belgian style flavor that comes from the yeast in the end. This is a very good beer and it is hard to beleive that it is a 7.7% alc beer. I opend a 750 ml and that will be all for tonight!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Iam a long time fan of this beer- it pours a hazy golden-yellow with good carbonation- not a glass of foam, neither to be mistaken for cask real ale... Aromas of a sweet blend of banana, clove and hops- but the flavor is more along the lines of spice and subtle fruit with a subtle hop presence. Well balanced, sweet but dry on the finish, light in the mouth for 7.5%. Great!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
School bus yellow, hazy, and teeming with microscopic bubbles. Fluffy, sudsy head with phenomenal staying power leaves gossamer lace. Surpising evolution of flavors; the bottle had been out of the fridge for 30 minutes, but the last sips I had 30 minutes after that were of a completely different beer. Initial aroma of lemongrass, fresh corn and hot grass clippings, goat and wet wool, metal, and talcum powder. Grainy, spicy flavor with honeysuckle blossom sweetness and some earthy/spicy bitterness. Over time, the metallic scent fades and the nose becomes meadlike. Also, the tastes become even more lemony, goatier, sweeter and peppery-er; later it takes on a sweet/sour pineapple character; the last sips had the floral and spicy trademarks of a good Traminette. Mouthfeel is medium-light, soft and fluffy. Odd boiled vegetable aftertaste. Pleasant and restrained, a nice sipping beer for a summer afternoon.
