Pours crisp light gold, glowing straw hue. A little white head. well carbonated. pear and banana aroma. Grassy that feels light. Dry, feels almost like champagne. Its saving grace is its nice finish.

A - Pours a light pale yellow color with a large amount (3-4 fingers) of really nice and white head. Leaves behind some nice lacing.
S - Nice fruitiness, mostly green apple/pear and lemon aromas. Also a bit of yeast and wheat smells. Very sweet.
T - Very sweet and tart on the tongue. Lemon and citrus tastes with the wheat and hop flavors. Really well balanced and complex.
M - Rather dry and very carbonated. Very refreshing and remains extremely smooth.
D - Very drinkable, even with a fairly high APV and complexity of the flavors.
Serving type: bottle
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JDBaker11058 (616) - Maryland, USA - FEB 26, 2011
Appearance: hazy, light golden pour with a beautiful white foamy head. Aroma: clean and malty-sweet, with light and zesty floral/citrus/ginger notes. Taste: champagne carbonation/kick right up front, then sweet and grainy with a hint of bitter hops in the back for balance. Finish: medium lightly crisp and sweet finish, with a lingering clove flavor that is slightly numbing. Notes: Very nice. Finish reminded me just a tiny bit too much of smoking a Djarum.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Jow (778) - New York, USA - FEB 23, 2011
I’ve had this many times but realized I’ve never rated. Pours a hazy straw color with big soapy white head. Tastes all farmhouse of grass, cloves, spice, yeast, and some floral notes. great easy to find saison from one of my favorite brewers.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheAlum (2981) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2011
16 oz draft at The Nova (Hudson, WI). Pours a nice crisp lightly hazed light gold, glowing straw hue. A small bright white frothy head sits atop, well carbonated. Head stays small, but full, laces ok. Aromas are touches of sweet estery fruits, pear and banana, with doughy bread, a touch of honey, vanilla, light spiciness. A touch of clove with a faint dustiness and light grassiness. Initial is lighter bodied, bubblegum and fruity esters dominate up front, touches of pear and banana, honey, vanilla. Light florals and bitterness with a crisp clean grainy bready malt bill. Grassy and lightly floral bitterness in the finish mix with a spritz of yeasty spice, giving the beer some more character, dryness, a touch of seemingly Champagne yeast. The lacing really is spectacular. The beer overall, a bit sweet and estery, but the finish wins it some saving grace of sorts. Some dryness, yeasty life and spice. A nice Belgian Ale

Bottle, at home. Pours a nice golden color with a great citrusy aroma. Huge white head. Flavor is nice and fruity, full of citrus and wheat with yeast coming through as well. Good stuff for sure.

For a beer that is so flavorful, its surprising but great how good of a thirst quencher this is. Great ale.
