750mL bottle. Used half of the bottle to cook some mussels and drank the rest. Milky gold color with very nice head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, yeasty, flowery. Flavor is citrusy, some sweetness, yeast, and candi sugar. It is a nice, spicy saison made in America. We are lucky to get this beer. No it’s not Fantome or DuPont but it’s a great beer, especially for the price.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2005 750ml-im raising my ratings here. this is a fine saison and very authentic to the style. It helps that its nationally distributed. lots of lemon notes in the aroma with some light funk, orange peals and more citrus. i like the yeast here in this beer. fairly dry on the finish. very respective.
12 oz bottle. Its pretty cool that a store near me carries this one. pours a very nice apricot hue with small white head that dissapeared very fast. medium carbonation. wow, lots of big flavors for a saison. This has lots of hops, belgian candy sugar and good spices. Slightly thin body, but thats how a saison is supposed to be. Good brew!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2005 Probably one of the better belgians I’ve experienced. Hazy golden with a frothy white head, great retension, and fantastic lacing! Smell of apples and citrus, pleasant flavor, great for conversation. Near perfect.

Hennepin was an average tasting wheat. A little to smokey with not enough body. Packs quite a punch though. I’m very picky about my wheat beers so some may find it better than what I rated it.

Had at HBF from bottle. Big carbonation in a straw-colored pour. Aromas of citrus, spice, earth. Tasted spicy, citrusy, with some peaty, malty effects at the finish.

Pretty good saison. Similar to du pont yet this is not quite as grassy yet has more of a complex spiciness. Nice light color with lots of carbonation making it perfect for the hot summer months. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2007 Straw, or Golden color with a very tall white foamy head. Spicy and mildly citrusy. The description says it fall into the domain of Belgian Saisons... not even close. I didn’ think this even began to touch a Fantome or any other I have tried. 6/3/5/3/12
RERATE: Straw colored pour with a very attractive head of creamy white lace. Aroma is sweet with just a touch of dried spicy hops. The flavor is a smooth and well blended mix of wheat, cloves, and just a touch of fruity sweetness. A very clean, easy drinking saison. What the hell was I thinking when I rated this the first time?

Beautiful straw colored with light frothy head and lacing on top. Sort of subtle and not overpowering at all. A very easy to drink brew.

Bottled @mwsf’s place. Not a huge fan of this brewer so far. Yeasty choc/caramel, pretty sweet and a little bit syruppy to be honest, but not bad.
