3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice golden color. Nice bubbles. Nice white fluffy head. Hides its alcohol almost completely, and that says a lot, seeing as how it is 7.5%. A little fruity. Overall very nice. Great artwork on the label also.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. Strong yeasty aroma and taste. The body was a murky yellow, with a decent head. I didn’t really go for the taste though, some strange off-flavors that seemed to hinder the taste of the brew. Perhaps a bad bottle…

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Decent though it seemed to be lacking in malt. Light with candy sugar richness. Enjoyable but not in my opinion all that amazing.

a touch of coriander and sour oranges.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden color, with a lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander, spice and orange. Medium bodied with active carbonation on the palette. I think the flavor falls a bit short. Has a nice spiciness, with cloves and coriander. Citrus towards the finish, which is dry, and somewhat bitter. I caught a nice blast of the alcohol however, which was unexpected, but had to mention it. Complex aroma and flavor, just perhaps a bit overdone. Still,. I would recommend giving it a try.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2010 Enormous lasting rocky white head over a pale golden, highly effervescent beer. Sweetish candi aroma, with apple notes, flowers, and a warm spiciness. Bright lemon and a touch of clove as well. There is a lot of fresh herbal grassiness along with fruity pear character. The flavour is delicious with spicy wheaty flavour, apple/pear, citrus and lingering clove. The finish has a lingering Belgian malt dryness. It’s substantially better than I remember it and a really tasty saison.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
nice foggy gold appearance, frothy white head, tart fruit aroma, sweet flavor, banana, hop bitters, hint of alcohol, nice smooth rolling mouthfeel, the guntah says "very carbonated".

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL bottle. Used half of the bottle to cook some mussels and drank the rest. Milky gold color with very nice head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, yeasty, flowery. Flavor is citrusy, some sweetness, yeast, and candi sugar. It is a nice, spicy saison made in America. We are lucky to get this beer. No it’s not Fantome or DuPont but it’s a great beer, especially for the price.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2005 750ml-im raising my ratings here. this is a fine saison and very authentic to the style. It helps that its nationally distributed. lots of lemon notes in the aroma with some light funk, orange peals and more citrus. i like the yeast here in this beer. fairly dry on the finish. very respective.
12 oz bottle. Its pretty cool that a store near me carries this one. pours a very nice apricot hue with small white head that dissapeared very fast. medium carbonation. wow, lots of big flavors for a saison. This has lots of hops, belgian candy sugar and good spices. Slightly thin body, but thats how a saison is supposed to be. Good brew!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2005 Probably one of the better belgians I’ve experienced. Hazy golden with a frothy white head, great retension, and fantastic lacing! Smell of apples and citrus, pleasant flavor, great for conversation. Near perfect.
