COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

A lot of people harp on Hennepin, but it is a great saison. It pours a bright orangeish gold and tastes fruity and yeasty.

12oz bottle poured with a nice, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, spice, and cloves. Excellent going down with a wonderful spicy taste flanked by banana, hops, and citrus. Wonderful American saison.

Bottle. And believe the bottle in what it says. Its a crisp and clean brew with slight souring on the tongue with a nice carbonation level which makes this a treat. Its a rich golden and yellow straw. Very tasty goodness.

Bottle. Fluffy pure white two fingers of foamy head that stays very well on a bright hazy lemon yellow. Light, bright citrus and spice, yeasty and dry in the aroma. Grass and hay in addition to a bit of citrus and spice in the flavor, and ends with some zest. Really well-rounded, and infinitely drinkable for me. Thinner body with vibrant, bubbly carbonation. One of my favorite standby saisons.

Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy yellow-orange appearance with a big white head. Yeasty, citrusy, wild Belgian aroma. Flavor is a bit spicy with a yeasty, citrusy Saison flavor. Citrusy finish.

Sampled at the BrewHaHa in Grand Rapids. Aroma and taste of light grain and banana. A nice saison. Maybe I should finally drink the one in my fridge.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in Addison. The beer pours a hazy straw yellow color with a nice-sized white head. The aroma is a mix of wheat, Belgian yeast, lemon and orange. Very fruity smelling. The flavor is more of the same with the addition of some pineapple and mangoes, as well as some white pepper notes. The alcohol is fairly noticeable, though by no means overpowering. The beer is very dry and is very drinkable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice American-made saison. One of the better ones out there.
