This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Aroma light, slightly fruity and yeasty-spicy... Color a hazy, pale bright gold with a generous frothy white head and patchy lace...Flavor features a pleasant fruity-sweet bottom, while a finely-balanced hop bitterness and yeasty tang buoy the top-end---slightly dry, cidery finish...Body is medium with quite a lively mouthfeel that masks the alcohol very well...I like the way the cozy warmth of this brew creeps into the scene about halfway through the bottle...Overall, the bright flavor profile, mouthfeel, and fine balance combine to make a most enjoyable saison...a fairly good value, too.

Nice clove, bubblegum, fruity aroma. The flavor was all that with a slight alcohol taste. Very spritsy...bubbly. For such a light colored beer the feel is quite substantial. The crispness is pleasing. I just absolutely positively love that sweet bubblegum taste...whatever that is.

Sean and his dad are very fond of this brew because of its name (for better or worse I married into the "Henne" clan). Itís good beer, too, in its own right, very spicy, lively, and fresh in the mouth.

Hazy yellow color with a floral nose (gardinia). A little oakieness, flowers, alcohol tied togeter with a yeasty tang. Quite refreshing and hides 7.5 abv. nicely.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2003 Pours a clear, deep golden color with a massive white head. It has a strong spicy/fruity aroma of yeast. Medium body with high carbonation, the flavor is spicy with lots of fruit and yeast. The finish is very crisp and refreshing, with a lingering sweet spiciness. Very damn tasty.

Cloudy amber, nice big full head. Smell is quite floral and fruity. Fruity, slightly spicy taste, very smooth, with some hop kick at the end.

Cloudy straw color. Huge meringue-like head with some of the smallest bubbles Iíve ever seen. Extremely effervescent. Spicy, fruity aroma. Nice spicy, fruity flavor with some hops in the background. Some yeast. Light-to-medium body. Very refreshing.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2004 Pale cloudy amber, effervescent with strong head formation. Sweet herbal clove aroma, mellow clean maltiness. Highly refreshing drinkable palate, shows strong notes of smooth sweet banana candy. Remains sweet right into the aftertaste but does balance with a touch of citrus and tartness in the finish.
