Slight hint of citrus, however something slightly unsettling in the flavor.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
cloudy yellow like a talcum dusted lemon, clean white head smooth enough to be a button down business shirt. bubbles are audible, tho i’d reccommend not putting your ear to the glass in public. nose of fine fresh sawdust, english muffin with marmalade, alcohol and a daisy dominated wildflower bouquet. citrus taste; even bitterness to sweetness ratio, both moderate. cleansing (especially on those hard to reach back molars) and tartly tasty.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml. Delectible aroma, lots of sour green apple, candy sugar, and white grape. Fizzy mouthfeel, but it improves by the glass. Good spice, and a tart, dry and hoppy finish. Great burps from this one. My rating might be artificially high since I haven’t had too many saisons, but I really enjoyed this one, and only ~$4 for a bottle.

Very refreshing. Crisp and acidic, with a dose of apple and candi sugar. Hops are here for balance only. A wonderful brew.

I enjoyed this Hennepin more than Ommegang ale. Better aroma, better flavor. Quite fruity. A pleasant surprise.

Pale and not too heavy but has plenty of flavor. Nice head, golden and cloudy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2006 Cave Aged Bottle #0771:
Thanks much to Elaine & Ben for this generous gift. Very crisp and Saison-like, as to be expected. White, fluffy head.
I’m not sure why everyone’s so high on this saison. It’s got a bit of sourness and is outshone by its two stablemates - Rare Vos and Ommegang. Nice head and decent complexity.

Definately a good beer. Had a nice white head on top a murky yellow body. Very citrusy flowery aroma. slightly earthy taste blends with the malts well. all around not too bad
