COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

12 oz. bottle at Mason’s Pub. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a massive foamy white head. The aroma is lemons, coriander and wheat. The flavor is sour and sweet, with a significant bitter finish. The palate is light and lively, slightly acidic, and a crisp finish. Overall, a light and pleasant beer.

Poured a hazy yellow with a huge white foamy head. Aroma has lots of veggies and bananas. Reminds me a lot of a hefeweizen. Slightly sour notes as well. Taste is great. Lots of fruity flavors with vegetables and spices. Slightly sour banana finish has some fruit and oranges. Very good.

Beautiful pour. Large, thick white head. Slowly disappears, leaving some white lacing. As is expected from a saison. I’m getting some banana definitely, along with orange and citrus. Inviting to drink. One of my favorite representations of the style. Tastes as it smells, bananas and orange. Dry finish. I could drink this all night long. Great drinkability. At 7.7%, this will beer will get you feeling good pretty quickly, without sacrificing taste.

Poured from giant 25.4 oz bottle - This beer is like the essence of sunshine in a bottle: color and taste are essentially sunshine. I’m really digging the fruity esters floating around and the hints of summertime. This beer is entreating me to move to the South of France.

Reminds me of a Belgian wheat combined with a light, crisp IPA. Hops, banana, and citrus make this a tasty summer beer.

Pours straw/yellow with white head that lingers thin. Smells grassy, yummy. I’ve had this beer many times but have still failed to land on good adjectives to get the point across. One of the amazing things about this beers is how well attenuated and carbonated it is. Some non-beer drinkers likened it to wine. I find this very appealing. Notes of both light fruits and hay. A little sweetness in there too. A great example of a saison (even if it is a bit big), and another amazing effort from Ommegang.

This beer is on the lighter side, and it would make a great summer beer. It kind of looks like a macrobrew, but tastes much much better.

Hazy yellow with great firm white head. Fresh oranges, lemon, cereal. A bit sour but light sweet n bitter as well. Heavy carbonation develops the taste although that is not the best Saison I’ve had. (Bottle in Stubbies)
