Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Crisp but too thin in body and taste for me. Certainly reminded me as a ’domestic’ trying a variation on a belgian style. Easy drinking and was happy to find it on a local tap list, but probably not something I’ll seek out again. Nice dry, biting finish though.

At Ommefest. Amazing golden color with light hints of softer fruits, spices, and zest. Amazingly crisp and dry much how i love saisons. Always a winner.

Aroma of mild sourdough yeast didn’t give truelly off to what lies beneath the incredibly golden body, this ommegang pours a voluminous 3 finger head and sticks to the glass like a desert gecko. The flavors are subtle sourdough bread with light color fruits of apricots, peaches and some funk thrown in... the finish is crisp and dry, the taste lasts and cleanes the palate. I associate it with a brut champagne, but a little more fruitier... I like these saison style beers.

Poured out a cloudy yellow/gold with a massive white head that lasted the entire glass. Aroma was of spices and vanilla. Taste was very refreshing, just a hint of citrus and yeast. A very thin bodied brew, this one would be great on a hot day.

750ml bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a huge frothy head. Aroma is mild spice, fruits & grains. Very bubbly on the tongue. Thin & dry. Taste was light fruits, apples, pears, with a grainy background. Pretty good.

On tap at the Neighborhood. Hazy yellow with a nice, white fluffy head. Big sweet aroma, of fruit - mainly bananas - cloves, other spices, wheat, and hops. Big taste, of hops, fruit, spices - a bit sharp. Lingering sharp spiciness. Very tasty.
