mike5203 (33), Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 This one I liked, it was beautiful amber color with a nice this white head. The aroma was spicy and the flavor was vary well balanced and nice to drink. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 17, 2008 At RateBeerians Tasting. Bottle: farmhouse style?! must be a new clasification. Good not great. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 17, 2008 Thanks to rcasta. Drank it last nite at El Salvador’s beer session. Pour a light yellow with white head. Light bodied, subtle taste of fruits and yeast. Quite refreshing. rcasta (470), El Salvador Aug 16, 2008 Gracias casta desde porto hasta el salvador comienza como una maredsous pero termina muchos mas fresca. Delish Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle from Sindee’s in Portland, OR--Poured a deep orange-amber-golden thick body with a big round whitish head. Belgian yeastiness with spicy and sticky fruit esters. Fruity, hoppy, grassy, piny, sticky, full-on for real brew! Very nice! chrisafari (100), Orange, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 Updated: Sep 21, 2008Re-rating. On Tap at Stone Brewing World Bistro and gardens. Aroma is easters, spice, yeast, orange and banana. Pours golden with pretty clear rocky white head. Flavor begins spicy/citrus then hits the back of the throat dry and spicy, possibly from the hops. I couldn’t detect any malt in the nose or mouth, maybe it just me. Light to medium body with okay head retention, surprisingly no lacing formed on my glass. Throughout, in the nose mouth and throat, there is a nice hoppiness. Kind of surprising for a Saison. One of the best Saisons on the market! Would be close to perfect if there was some supporting malt. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 9, 2008 Big pillowy/frothy white head, light gold cloudy hie, very good, crisp, nice to see this captured the style so well in New York, hint of citrus, farmhouse. Consistently NICE cphbeerking (153), København K, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Gorgeously frothy head that never recedes and unmistakeably Belgian yeasty bursts accompany this crisp golden ale -- we’ve arrived at Duvel v2. I know they call it a Saison, but for the life of me I can’t think of why. Immensely quaffable, but didn’t we already have Den Duvel?
