A nice saison. pale amber in appearance with a nice head. Lots of carbonation. Nice spicy notes. Very crisp. I’ll be drinking a lot of this.

bottle. bright golden shade with yeasty haze and an enormous frothy head that lingered for a long time. aroma is a balance of sweet malt and Belgian yeast with notes of lemon, light toast, and a light fruity quality like honeydew. very smooth and light-bodied overall, and definitely less spice and/or funk than a lot of saisions, with more residual sweetness. the body and the lightly-spiced quality make this reminiscent of a wit to some extent, too. refreshing. not a beer to challenge you.

750 ml bottle. Hazy yellow orange, large fluffy white head, solid lacing. Aroma of grass, straw, white pepper. Taste is anise, caramel, pepper. Very nice.

Haxy golden, huge white head. Peppery yeast up front, cereal, and hot alcohol phenolics. Flavor much the same, and I’m not sur eif I am extremely unlucky or what, but I get band aid in every bottle I’ve tried. It’s not entirely off-putting, but it’s there, and hurts the score quite a bit.

I watched the cork get blown in to the tasting crown at the brewery. Flashy yellow and gold with bright white head. Cloudy with yeast. Aroma is great with belgian yeast and spices, some alcohol, no hop aroma. No evident bitterness in the finish or lingering. no hot alcohols. just a really easy drinking beer. really reminds me of a wit but it’s very good for it’s style.

The aroma is quite pleasing, mainly malt with a little bit hop note. the only thing I was disapointed with was the head retention. The beer poured into a beautiful very lively head that was gone in about 30 seconds. The taste is wonderful. Malty without being to cloying, with a very nice bitter finish of gentle hop escence and alchohol. the body is medium/full, very nice to style. The texture was slightly creamy with a very effervescent carbonation. The finish is wonderful with the sweetness of the malt perfectly complimenting the bitterness of the hops. A very well balanced beer. A nice alternative for someone who found Saison Dupont too dry.

Cork and caged bottle from May (don’t ask why I waited so long) pours as a super-hazy yellow with a wild bright white head on top. Aroma dances through springtime florals, to peppercorns, to a wet blanket yeast. Flavor takes a similar journey, with the subtle citrus flavors yielding to a pretty hefty amount of peppery spices and that strong strain of Belgian yeast popping up in the finish. Super-heavy carbonation makes this a little too effervescent for my liking, but it’s nicely in line with the style.
