COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

We served this at our wedding which made us popular with the guests. Serve at your wedding for similar results. This beer is also the one that got me interested in Belgian styles. Both fruity and spiced, it is good. Serving: Bottle

Pours a straw color with a small white head that is short lived. The aroma is a little bready, with grassy hops, grainy malt, and a hint of spice. The flavor is very tasty. Similar to the aroma, it has a strong tripel taste, with some slight funk and a bit of citrus. Pretty good.

A: Clear straw/golden color with a healthy white head which leaves behind some nice lacing S: Florals and spice comes through first with some yeastyness T: Great yeasty and spicy black pepper... hints of bananas and apples... delicious M: Medium bodied with a pinch of carbonated feel D: Satisfying... easily could drink another

Poured into a pint glass. A: Cloudy, yeasty pale gold. I poured too fast and got all the yeast mixed in. One finger of head that laces well. S: Complex. Spice, pepper, honey, straw. T: Mild bitterness and sourness. Grassy hops, spice, and some peppery hotness. Malts spicy and biscuity. Lastly, hints of fruit and clove. M: Smooth, somewhat creamy, and very well carbonated. D: Wonderful beer. Though I prefer hoppier, darker beers, this one was a delightful change. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-19-2008 03:37:45

(bottle) Poured a hazy yellow with noticeable carbonation and rich white head. Modest lacing. Floral aroma with yeast. Taste is slightly bitter, clean and dry. Malt flavor is reminiscent to Abbey Ales, but very mild. A warm weather cocktail.

Mild spice in a tasty, yet thoroughly refreshing, context. This is one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

Wow, great Belgian Saison. Little funky, great lingering taste, but not overly cloying. Huge carbonation, waiting for it to settle is torture with the great smells coming off. Very typical of style and definetly a beer to enjoy.
