The aroma is sweet, fruity, and yeasty. Toffee, sour apple, pear, peach, coriander, mild alcohol iin the nose. The flavor is a smooth fruit, with apples, citrus, and possibly even some bitter cherry. The spicy yeast in this is outstanding. Very well carbonated, but not over the top. Gives it a nice creamy mouthfeel. The alcohol in this is noticeable, but just to pops in to say hello in the finish. A slight bitter left in the mouth. TeamTrappist (381), jericho, New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of wheat, grass, hay, earth, mustiness. Flavor of playful bittering hops, mildly grainy wheat, some mustiness/funk. Notes of citrus, citrus peel, and other spices often present in this brew were buried in the background (old bottle?), but the result was still stellar. A beautifully constructed classic.
