Ommegang Hennepin

Very light honey-golden color with a nice thick white head. Aroma is lemon and pine. Just a hint of ginger. Flavor is almost overpowered by carbonation. Very fruity. Orange, lemon and apricot. A bit of nutmeg. Fizzy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Quite good all around.

Aroma is sweet apple, citrus hops, light yeast, and spiceness. Pours with a large, white head with a very lightly hazed yellow body. Taste is sweet, buttery and fruity. Watery texture with lively carbonation.

Bottle.Fruity, sharp and light yeasty aroma. Golden color with a large white head. Sweet fruity body with light spices. Sweet palate that develops a nice hop note with a hint of alcohol. Not bad

Bottle Pours out a straw color topped with a nice head. Aroma of spice and sweet yeast. Tast of pepper and some sweetness. A nice mix of spices a solid Saison.

Thanks to my step Dad for the sampler pack. Pours a cloudy straw color and a fluffy white head. Yeasty fruity aroma. Fruity spicy thin refreshing taste with a little hint of funk. Leaves a slight bitter funky aftertaste. Nice and light, good beer.

Let me start by saying In it’s defense I’m not a huge fan of Saisons. I just felt like this beer was trying to be too complex for it’s own good. Alot of different flavours aromas and sort of overly acidic. Yeastyness was good. I would have enjoyed it more if it had showcased a few flavors more instead of muddling alot of herbal ones. On a positive great head and carbonation, very well conditioned.

Pours a very light, yellow, straw in color. A nice inch of head forms on the pour. Smell is a bit funky, and spicy. Taste is more of the funk. Very good amount of carbonation. Mouthfeel is medium, bubbly and funky. Good beer but not overly complex.
