bomber poured into a Duvel tulip.
A- A lovely cloudy amber/orange with a huge rocky head that persisted with nice lacing.
S- Spicy rich and complex with hay/grass, citrus and a nice barnyard mustiness underneath.
T- Like it smells. Rich and spicy with a wonderful complexity. Notes of honey and coriander. Strong flavors but not overpowering.
M - Full and creamy with a lingering finish and lively carbonation.
D- This is an excellent saison and will definitely be in my cellar from now on. Finished the bomber over a couple of hours and enjoyed this one to the last sip.

Bottle pour to tulip. Clear bubbly golden color with thick white persistent head. Aroma fruity and a touch sour, Tastes great - light fruits, spices, Belgian yeasts. Excellent balance. Clean finish, minimal bitterness.
I’m sorry I waited so long to try this, it definitely won’t be the last time.

My first reaction: Nail polish remover. I could have sworn the waitress had swapped my beer with acetone. It’s spicy and tangy and sharp and disgusting. It lingers in the back of the throat. The only good thing about this brew was that I could justify ordering a different beer to get the wretched taste out of my mouth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ExpendableHero (518) - Florida, USA - MAY 31, 2010
My first venture into this style and it was a good one. Rich golden color, a bit hazy with a minimal white head. Aromas of zesty fruit, cinnamon, and floral notes. The taste follows the nose pretty well: a spicy taste with hints of oranges. Thick mouth feel, a bit oily even. Very tasty, I look forward to try more saisons in the future.

What better way to celebrate a completed day of yardwork than with God’s gift to Belgian farmers? I poured a 12 oz bottle into my tulip, raising a large creamy head that subsided to a lingering pinky width and left notable lacing in the glass. As the head suggests, this is delightfully smooth and silky going down. Both the aroma and flavor are redolent of hay, spice, and warm butter. All of these features characterize the style, making this a fine American example of one of Europe’s great ales.
